I thought MacDonald was poor today, constantly caught on the ball and passes all over the place. Not all his fault, you could see he was expecting movement around him which to be fair we've not had all season. But looked very slow and of that had been Smallwood he'd have been crucified on here.

 

I kept my mouth shut last week as not to appear negative after a good win. However, Newport were a very patched up side.

 

Only two player come out of this game with any credit,Halliday and Tulloch,the rest were awful.

 

"The lads were understandably tired after a great, spirited performance against Middlesbrough" or crap to that effect.

 

Another depressing Saturday afternoon…

And conceded from set pieces ever since too. It seems that he never wants to learn or adapt until its too late. Like making a midfield diamond for the last 20 today with Walker and Oyegoke and the wide men, a role neither can do.

 

Crikey, that was an truly awful performance and we got what we deserved. First 30 was ok but from there, no press, lacking energy and crazy sub's.

Hughes takes plenty of pelters but those players failed there part in that game. Walsall were nothing special but we afforded them far too much space and time. The comical defending for the second goal highlights the responsibility that the players should have.

One amusing part of the day was the NW corner signing all we do is pass side to side....

 

What is very worrying is our team have no fight in them yet again. They equalise and we fall apart. No inspiration from the coaching staff at half time either, it was even worse. I can’t stand it anymore. I will come back when we actually have a team that is willing to stand tall even if we are losing.

 

McDonald is way passed it. It was like watching a slower version of Smallwood today.

 

Also, a new manager might be stuck with these lot in January as I can't imagine we have much budget left with the amount of players on our books. Many of them on three year deals.

 

Lewis had a shocker today. IMO he’s not having the best season but our fans seem to think he’s a messiah

Damn that was poor! No player deserves any credit from me. Shocking performance!

 

What happens if they do ask him to leave? We are saddled with this squad? Anybody watching us today will think we are nailed on relegation fodder! I am not sure there is a manager that has the necessary to carve a team out of that bunch.

 

Halliday was the pick of that lot but yep not great from the playing personal
