    Would he improve us? I'm not so sure. Yes he showed moments of brilliance but he also went missing for large parts of a lot of games and like Park has said, only really started to turn it on when his contract was coming to an end. If he was to come back on anything other than a loan, I'd be extremely worried as it would mean we'd end up having to pay a fee for a player who left us for nothing and presumably we'd offer him at least a 2 year, possibly 3 year deal. Given he's now had two unsuccessful spells at league 1, if our aim is promotion I don't see him as one for the future.

    Well he said it was a done deal but wouldnt be announced for a few weeks. Grimsby fans convinced Vernam signing there.

    he is getting a few clubs on his cv agreed, but he was one of the best players in L2, I am not too fussed for anything beyond us getting out of L2. Hughes can get the best out of him.

    Assuming Gillead signs and then the addition of a forward in the mould of agyei/wright, reckon hughes could line up with something like this for start of next season. Relatively solid
