Admits to why he chose Gillingham over us. Doesn't seem to have been an easy decision based on his comments but understandable why he has. On the flip side probably a reason why Cook resigned for us so it's swings and roundabouts

Simon Parker has been made to look an idiot. He should go back to the policy of only reporting on actual signings and not copying rumours from Twitter.

 

It certainly could turn out to be a bullet signed no doubt, but ultimately we’ve been courting him since last month since the season ended so I doubt the club feel that way. It’s never good to miss out on a first choice target no matter which way you look at it, if there’s faster, stronger, younger, better and cheaper out there then it begs the question why not just go for them first! We will have to see what happens, but the midfield was such a glaring weakness last season it needs major improvement, not third or fourth choice signings. I believe Theo Robinson was third or fourth choice target. I just hope Sparky isn’t saying in a few months time that player X is no Ryan East.

In some respects we do need to be realistic. All much of a muchness in L2 and location is important. These players arent on life changing sums and wages offered will all be fairly.similar.

We cant be overpaying for ok players to get it over the line.

 

Funniest thing is most of their fans seem more excited about the kit than about Williams.
