Well we make a 300k loss.

If cheap tickets were the way forward then all clubs would do it!

To be fair it’s not crap is it.
We’re close to promotion but also close to complete failure.
We should, as a club and considering the squad we have and the backing Hughes has had, be comfortably in the top three not scrapping about to make the play offs.
We might make it this year, we might not but ultimately it’s not been good enough - from either the management or players.

It's not been perfect but it's been a lot better than the previous three attempts to get out of this division.

Well considering we were favourites for the league and many thought we would walk it we are doing badly.

Until we change our mindset we won’t get anywhere. Some clubs like us and Spurs need a clear mind reset ,Arsenal did it recently and look at them now.

Fans need to expect that the clubs mindset is all wrong! Completely!

We weren't favourites and nobody thought we would walk it.

Yes they did, when I said we could finish 8th it was all hell breaking loose.

People really need to understanding the club they love.

We should be in automatic places.

Losers get excited about play offs.

Oh and come Sunday we could be firmly out of the play off spot.

I wish people would stop bashing the season tickets . The reasons we do it are because we can. We have the stadium capacity, we have the population in the area. I am not sure many league two or one clubs could pull the numbers we do , without drastically reducing their playing budgets and thus suffering on the pitch. Some of the bigger clubs that have found themselves in the lower reaches of the football league, Sheff Weds for one, have the support and history not to need this sort of offer, Yet still find it hard to climb back to former glories. Our history is of years of under achievement and poor support, so anything we can do to boost the numbers, has to be applauded.

I think it’s more a holistic comment - not just this season, not just related to being lethargic on the pitch until the last three months.
It’s ingrained, we don’t demand or expect success, there’s a wide acceptance of mediocrity.
@Fordy117@Fordy117 talks some absolute crap at times but with this I completely agree - there’s a long term losers mentality at the club from fans to board.

I agree and the original point of the post is that clubs in far worse situations have recovered and gone again. We seem to have huge hangovers. People may disagree but it’s the mentality of the club - our objective is just to shift tickets volume. That to me creates massive expectations and the players are simply not good enough or strong enough to deal with it. Ideal scenario would be the club would invest in players who can handle it but we won’t it’s break even it’s live within your means. For this cautious outlook I don’t envisage success or progress. Derek Adam was horrendous but he knew something was wrong he called it out on more than one occasion .It could have been him saving face, but I felt he had a point something isn’t right I for one long for day of new ownership.

Over the years I have regularly longed for new ownership and when it happens it always disappoints the grass is not greener

You do realise that of the 92 league clubs, only around a dozen or so can class themselves as being successful in any one season. The other 80 clubs must be failures too and have poor owners.

Maybe, but I believe most other club fans would have drove Rupp out by now.

We had the spend big moment under Rahic, but he who knows football did the spending. We've had experienced managers, but no scouting network, we've bought young, we've bought old, we've brought in goalscorers but not played the system to get the best from them, we've had half a squad of loanees which proved fruitless, we've handed out 1 year deals, 3 year deals, we've brought managers in without a number 2, we've used youth team coaches, we've changed systems and nothing has worked. I’m with @Fordy117@Fordy117 to a degree. If we want to have a house built of brick instead of straw, we need to invest in the infrastructure so that we can produce talent to sell. Putting the pieces in place will cost money. A lot of money if we're going to do it right. What we have at the moment is a poor man's version of a successful club. It's a step in the right direction but when you look at the Lutons and Boltons, they've taken a punt by having the right fit for their club, and having the correct strategy that everyone works to.

It's the age old question though. Where do we find that man / consortium to fund the club to your satisfaction?

    Well we have had bids.

However, it’s changing the little things.

Conte had a rant about Spurs and he was right. Everyone knows they is something wrong at Spurs.

I know that Bradford City are not right. It’s not about how much money we spend but mindset and culture of the club.

I think the fans (and board) do demand success hence the big turnover of managers? Losers mentality is just some childish comment for effect. You can say we've been under performing for years given the size of the club and fan base but there are lots of reasons for that and to just say 'losers mentality' or blame the owner (or fans) is way too simplistic.
