Have you actually driven on a Motorway, during the week at rush hour? Two hours. Pure fantasy!

On a normal day, it takes about 2 hours 30 mins to make the trip

If you floor it all the way down, at midnight, when the roads are clear, you can probably get down there in 2 hours

But seeing as its gonna be rush hour trafifc, you're not getting to Walsall till 8 at the very least

Add to the fact most people work 9-5, the scaremongering tactics about the weather causing a postponement, and the fact that its only Monday today, im not surprised we sold 600 so far, its a good turnout for a League Two game in shit conditions. Some people need to get a grip

I'm not sure on stuff like iPad etc, I have a new phone called Oppo and it has a casting app built in, I'm sure there's some techies on here who can help you out mate.
[IMG]@SimonW is your man he's the IT guy I believe.
The Granddaughter has an iPhone and it has this icon two rectangles IMG20230306153306.jpg click that and it opens this IMG20230306153342.jpg "Screen Mirroring" which should bring your TV up whe no it shows your TV press it and you should be good to go ?.

All the house Mac devices (6)are connected to the same wifi system as Sky and TV’s

Unless the feed is from you tube, the cast symbol on the control centre has no effect when linking it to the TV via wifi . I think ifollow has a block on the function somehow Dave. I have tried before.

I’ll have another go but I don’t think it works via iPads and my Windows laptop is a load of garbage.

    I appreciate your reply ..thanks.

I think it’s far more simplistic than all of these reasons, we have been there about 100 times and there’s not many a worse away day on a cold Tuesday night and also we’ve had 4 away days in 2 weeks which is expensive business with a cost of living crisis going on.

Missing this one sadly, I don't get home from work til about 5:40 so there's no chance of getting there & parking up etc inside 2 hours. The M62 & M6 are so unpredictable & volatile at the best of times so unfortunately it'll be iFollow on the dicky-stick for us. Still fancy us for at least a point

    Fuel, food, travel time.
    Cost of living crisis.
    £22 for an adult ticket.
    £10 iFollow match pass.

I’m surprised 600 people have already purchased tickets if I’m honest.

If iFollow wasn’t an option then I’m sure away crowds would be much higher, especially midweek games.

I shall be watching on i follow but to please the Uber fans I shall tell my Mrs that I’m going to sit where I want and then of course stand up during the entire match, as apparently that’s what your meant to do at an away match these days.

    Yes and no.

Anyone working regular hours, with a family and not wishing to use up holiday days , would sensibly watch on ifollow , a) they couldn’t get there in time, b) get home around midnight c) qualify the expense when one could watch the game for a £10 ?

On the other side of the coin, there’s nothing like being there!

If you finish work at 5 in Bradford, you will not get to Walsall and parked up and in the ground before kick off. Bradford to Walsall is 118 miles and takes over 2 hours in decent traffic via the m62 and m6, rush hour will take much longer, so it means taking time off from work. 600+ for this is pretty decent

Totally agree unfortunately at times there are circumstances that don't allow attending midweek or Saturday games come to that, you and I know bringing a family up and paying the bills comes first, although in the past our lass has missed a payment at Lingards to get the brass for me to follow City to an away game ;).

I can’t believe that some people feel they have to justify to an anonymous poster on a football forum
why they can’t get to a lge2 football match in Walsall on a Tuesday night.

It’s got absolutely fu@k all to do with anybody else why people choose to go or not to go.
I’ve had a season ticket for nearly 40years but
I missed a home game at Xmas because I just couldn’t be arsed.

I expect a visit from the “Uber fan” police imminently.

    Absolutely right.

When I was young and working with money to burn, before being married, I went everywhere with City. Once married and families arrive, bills to pay and mortgages to fund life takes on a different meaning. It was mostly away games that lost out!
