If the ball had hit the linesman I think it could have been a red, stupid reaction.

This is the thing. You need to be lucky with suspensions and injuries with small squads.

He's becoming fidgety though. Changed his goalkeeper for another new lad. Think they've played three in a few weeks now. That kind of thing doesn't help when you're not winning.

We are a frustrating team to watch without a doubt, our set up is to either control a game or stifle the opposition. Its graft up until the goal comes with us fans frustrated to hell, but days like today allow you to view things in perspective and realise this is exactly what's required to grind your way out of the khazi. The only problem as I see it is I just wish MH had a more expansive plan for the home games as our set up is perfect for away games. But over the years how many times have we seen teams turn up at VP who are flying high in the league and don't look great at all apart from being solid and walk away 1-0 winners etc, leaving us scratching our heads wondering how on earth are they right up there.

Credit where credit's due. I have probably been Hallidays biggest critic this season and after last week felt my case was proven. Even I was impressed how he got stuck in second half today. His best city performance in my opinion

Just seen the highlights and what was their keeper doing?

Anyway that shite striker called Cook needs to be binned off smartish eh @Fordy117@Fordy117 ? Only got 20 goals before the end of February-what a waste of a wage. Offers feck all to the team and needs dropping to allow (name a player) to come in and show him how it's done.

That sums the situation up. It isn't us as doubting Stevenage that much - clearly Evans now does. And like Adams last season, once a manager makes it obvious he doubts his squad, that's a problem.

Cook played his best game all season today because he worked. He put effort in and helped the team off the ball.

Great he scored but he needs more games like today for me to take him seriously.

Last week I didn't think he was that bad and thought it was a tactical sub. For instance I thought Platt was far worse.

And that's the problem for Halliday he has Platt covering his back, who is really only comfortable defending the penalty box - where on the other side both Critchlow and Platt have no issue moving from side to side to cover LB.

Against Barrow we had 77% possession and NO shots on goal. (according to the BBC........so it must be true)

That has to be the worst set of figures EVER by ANY team.

Don't doubt this has been mentioned somewhere by someone.

It should be mentioned every week to the team before every match.

That’s a probable reason Stevenage are wobbling, lack strength in depth I believe?

Not exactly. He's faffing around with formations and tactics. Brought a third keeper in and now can't decide who is number one. That said the defender who they reckon is their best has missed the last five games and they've drawn 2 and lost 3.

They had games in hand on Leyton orient and could have gone first..

What Hes actually done is bottle it. I don’t understand why people on here slate hughes at every opportunity but give so much to opposition managers…

He is not outperforming hughes, at the minute its abject failure.

when we go above stevenage will you say evans is outperforming hughes then?

I've not looked into why Stevenage have fallen away tbh, but my take on it is whenever I see a so called smaller club flying high in any league I automatically think yes they have a good 11/12 players but let's see where they are in the final third of season when injuries and suspensions bite, now I have done zero research to back this up but that's always my line of thinking in these instances

As I said, lacking in depth. Nothing to do with the keeper..it’s the outfield, he’s lacking . Last five since end of the window ……..They hav3 gone backwards fo4 sure BB.
