    players and staff want time with families, not freezing their nuts off playing in freezing temps.

    at least we’ve a big squad for when all the rearrangements stack up in the New Year.

    Temps look a bit better in the next week, though, so maybe this one will be on

    For those venturing up there if the games is on of course, safe journey and wrap up well those Cumbrian winds bite in even the most unexpected regions of your body.

    Yep just like us, right on the Scottish border, just like Geordies and us Cumbrians !! in other words 'In the North', 'proper Northerners', nothing like the plastic Northerners from Yorkshire and Lancashire.

    I would say that was a big part of what I am. Perhaps a little unfashionable these days but I probably think of myself as British, born in Yorkshire. I always want Scotland, England and Ireland (and although no Welsh I can’t lave them out) to do well.
