    If the game goes ahead I will be watching on ifollow. It will be treacherous round VP. Plus it will be Baltic inside VP. It is drizzling now but the temp is just 1c a very slow thaw.

    its winter , its cold, get over it. get the game on. Get the 3 points.
    I have been working outside all week , so have no problems watching a football match, just wrap up well
    Although i am sat in front of the wood burner and its very welcoming.

    The temperature hasn’t gone above 1c in days.

    I don’t see any scenario where the game can be played ensuring safety for all supporters, even if the pitch has been molly cuddled.

    After the game in the dark trying to negotiate ice doesn’t sound wholly appealing.

    Yeah but unless they put the covers down before the snow arrived last weekend the ground underneath will already be frozen?

    My decision has been made. Given that the game could be called off, plus a drive up the M6 and over the Pennines (with snow forecast), I decided it was an unnecessary risk for a match I can watch from home.

    If it does beat the freeze, then it will be the first home league match I've missed this season, but I'll still be able to watch it live and City will get an extra £8 or so (their share of the iFollow fee).

    Doncaster V Harrogate has now gone!

    They must have done an earlier inspection than 11.00 a.m.!

    Apart from City only Barrow V Swindon and Orient V Sutton are left.

    I would hate for just one person to cause themselves injury due to slippery streets in the pitch black after the game.

    Even if the pitch is safe and playable I’m not entirely sure the back streets around the stadium are.

    I guess I’m just being over cautious because when I was younger my Grandmother had a terrible accident slipping on ice when I was walking with her and witnessing all the blood, ambulance etc was traumatic and wouldn’t want that for anyone else.

    There should be a standardised approach.     I can see why they are doing everything to get the game on but in principle i agree with you Rod, another hour isn't going to make any difference now. Decision should have already been made.

    The conspiracy theorists have suggested that City is keen for it to do ahead as they could probably sell 2,000 or so I-Follow passes. A very nice supplemental income.
