Been watching both games but it’s telling my eyes keep going to the World Cup game as everytime I look at my laptop my eyes nearly shut. Both have teams have been crap, but for the goal.

The midfield needs freshening up imo, and we need Critchow back as Songo’o can’t pass it out of the back which is shocking for a supposed midfielder.

We look leggy as Jones said as well which is really poor but not surprising as a number of times this season the players have looked knackered late in games. Fitness is something we’ve failed at since Parky left.

The players and management need to take the next 10 days to take a look at themselves and look to improve.

 

Gilly is very very funny. Our keeper needs to have a word .... HE CANT WRAP IN TOO OR WE ARE DOOMED

 

Terrible player. He slows the match down when it needs to be faster and runs down culdesacs when he should be passing. I feel harsh criticising him as he's not a central midfielder but as he's played there all season then we judge him as one.

He also doesn't know when he needs to move back and give the central defenders a pass out. This is part of the problem. They pass back and forth because the central midfielders aren't showing for the ball. Useless tactics.

 

Hughes really needs to get a response this second half, we look worse than a pub team. He should get Banks ,Young and East on from the start. Smallwood is a massive disappointment for me as his experience was meant to be of value.

 

We looked slow as usual. Had to bang France on instead!

 

Nothing new with Smallwoods corners…one short, one massively over long

 

Surely Sparkie will make a couple of changes at half time, we know he won't take Smallwood off as he's our free kick specialist, but replacing any of our outfield players for me, dare he risk Walker with a full 45 minutes, Pereira has once again shown little (he's not by himself) would he consider Oliver and Cook up top with Wright and Eisa wide.

 

I think that what he tried to do and made a mess of it.

 

I’m thinking Hughes has all his eggs on Walker making this formation work. Currently it’s sucking the life out of the players. Sticking with out of form players is doing Hughes no favours whatsoever. I hope he makes changes at half time because he could take any number of players off for me.

 

This is absolutely disgusting. If the players are being coached to play like this then the CEO and owner need to start and look at things. If the players are coached to play at a higher pace, move about, look for the ball etc. then several of them should be dropped.

 

Thank he needs to try it no matter what.

Two up to with wingers with pace.

Bring Walk on for Smallwood or Gilly.

How do Salford's pitch dimensions compare to Hull's?

 

I would sub Smallwood and go for the speed of Odusina to add some bite into our mid.

 

Middle of goal and he pushes it in. First real clanger this season to be fair, but he needs to hold his hands up (no pun intended) for that

 

And how about our seasons saviour Dom "Perignon" Pereira? He's useless. Much like the rest of our midfield, has no end product and seemingly no idea. Send him back in January if possible, and give Banks a proper run, or bring in someone who actually puts a shift in.

 

That's how I saw it an easy everyday save.
