A knee jerk response from a well known Doom Monger!

Over the last ten league games, then apart from the Stockport home game, we have put together an impressive run.

Over that segment we are on ‘automatic’ promotion form.

City has got more points than the magic 20 for 10 games.

The team is still bedding down after the huge number of new players.

You come across as the sort of person who finds a £10 and moans because it isn’t £20.

If we carry this form on, we will be in the right position come the end of the season.

Can’t fathom some of the negativity (albeit minority) on here and Twitter after yesterday.

Good game of football where the home team probably just shaded it but don’t think either can complain at a draw.

obviously we’d love to dominate games and piss the league but it isn’t going to happen and never was, we are league 2 same as everyone else and we are off the back of 2 bottom half finishes last two seasons. It’s not a miracle cure to just walk over the league everyone will give us a game.

I wonder how many wouldn’t have taken 4 points from the last 2 away games? Next to non would be my guess. I’d have taken 2/3 points let alone 4.

Now it’s important to follow it up with a few decent home displays and results.

We obviously still hope to improve and I think we need to for promotion but it’s hardly far fetched to suggest it’ll come.

Chappy is playing well for sure, started slowly, but he’s improving game on game.

It's got to be a wind up, same old posters yes they have a right to their opinion, just as others have the right to reply with their take.
Our next 2 home games we need all 6 points then we don't have to rely on bringing back all 3 points from our away games.

Always enjoy our visits to Grimsby as we are unbeaten there since the late 90’s, however came away yesterday very frustrated. Yes they brought the game to us and it was entertaining throughout but there is always that “what if” with city in recent times. A few points:

    1. Chapman is a decent player however he is unbelievably greedy when it matters, and then sulks when he loses it and most times doesn’t make the effort to win it back
    2. Bringing East on for Cook with 10 mins left was baffling. Very negative from the gaffer and nearly cost us a point
    3. Pereira needs dropping, and made to fight for his place. Looking like a one season wonder so far
    4. Really felt sorry for Harratt

Still really happy with the progress so far however, 13 points from last 15 away from home is a fantastic achievement for the squad. I sincerely believe we are still gelling and improving, the players get it and understand what it means to our fans

Hopefully we put Swindon to the sword on Tuesday night, bring it on

That's right, we've won less than half of our home league games, we can afford to draw some away if we are winning at home ..

Thought it was a well earned point away from home, Only comment I would make is that teams seem to be fitter than us especially in second half where we fade a little. The commentator against Burton said the manager had instigated 13km runs as part of training to build up strength and stamina and it showed as they ran us off the park, We have a lot of skill but look like we lack a little fitness

we are a very fit team have a big backroom team now that emphasis that don't think you will come up against many if any better at that in league 2 than Grimsby ,some of our players although might not be the best on the ball are machines, I would suggest that suits league 2 -sutton were awful but beasts and they seem to do well

Look like you are the clueless gimp. MH agrees with me. WE WERE SHITE! Understand the game not the occasion.

Hughes said: “It was a point won today, for sure. Our levels were not great.

“We created a number of good chances, certainly in the first half. We just had to be a little more careful and pick the right pass, and we could have had more clear-cut chances.

“The second half, though, we were a fair way off it. Their support got louder so that made it more difficult for us. We had to manage the game, which we did not do particularly well today

Agree with all of that Dave.
I feel that if it had been say Angol, through against their 'keeper in the first five minutes, he may have had a bit more nous and probably side stepped and rolled it in. Chapman seemed to dally a little which allowed the 'keeper and defender to get their feet in and deny the lad. Ditto the other week with the attempted chip.

One thing that I've noticed, while watching the EFL games round up on ITV, is that many sides shoot from outside the box. Some fly in, some of course miss the target but as they say, if you don't have a go, you don't score.
Rarely do I see City shooting from outside the box, in the main we tend to try and play it into the box and quite often get crowded out.

More players have to chip in with goals, we can't rely on Cook to score all the time. Teams have now worked us out a bit - stop Cook and you stop Bradford City.

Let's hope that's only a temporary thing, but you right we need goals from all over the park.
As I posted earlier I was little disappointed it was not a straight swap Oliver for Cook.

Totally agree with you about Chapman Monkey. He tries unexpected things, sometimes
The great thing about Chapman is that he tries unexpected things. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I love watching him play, proper crackerjack. He gets pelters on here from some when what he tries breaks down, but there are few players in L2 who have his ambition to deliver different.

Agree with pretty much all of this Steve C - except for the East substitution. At the point MH put him on Grimsby were out running and by-passing us in midfield and it needed shoring up. East did a very decent job of doing so.

RC Bantam - what's not good enough about four away wins and a draw in the last five? Man City would be happy with that. You really are a piss-taker, mate.

Fordy, MH's comments in no way support your crass 'shite' verdict on the game. Were you there? I was and it was a cracking contest. You think this can be described as shite? What matches did you see under Bowyer, Hopkins and Adams? That was shite. This is massive progress for our club. Ooops, sorry, your second club, la.
