I thought he was the white coated guy who sold the T&A/Pink in the town centre after the game, don't you remember him.

Think Sutton will start at RB.

We don't know how he would fare in League One, but his performances so far this season suggest he might be able to contribute. What I wouldn't want to happen is a promotion rival coming in with a good offer for him in January. At his age he might well be tempted by the security of a longer contract.

Think Hendrie. That's his position. It isn't Sutton's.

Not happening if we will be fighting to go up.

We have made mistakes in handing out contracts too early before.

You could be right I'd prefer Luke but as Levi showed today when he came on with Yann they took the sting out of Stevenage's midfield, certainly an interesting one.

I thought the ref was excellent apart from the usual inconsistency we see at this level. He booked Halliday correctly for denying their winger a good attacking chance in the first half. Ten minutes later Chapman was in an almost identical position, though actually even more threatening, plays the ball to the byline, gets fouled, free kick but no yellow card. Very frustrating.

You’re right.Cook does plenty of the shitty stuff that centre forwards have to do.
He headed away 2 or 3 of their corners in the first half and even just before he was subbed he cleared 2 of their balls in to the box.
Add this to the fact he’s scoring goals( his most important job)and at the moment he’s one of the first names on the team sheet.

Should have booked the keeper first half when he was arguing over the position of the free kick and reeves should have had a card for persistent fouling, but generally ran the game well

I wasn't expecting a yellow. It wasn't cynical. He didn't pull him back, he just got too close and it ended up being pretty marginal. I'm pretty sure the ball was running out of play anyway. The two incidents were completely different but as usual the old nonsense about 'consistency' started being banded about.

I was right behind it and it most certainly wasn't going out of play. Chapman was past him and could have either crossed or carried the ball into the area. Equally cynical but not equal punishment. The whole crowd in that area were baying for a card because they could see the inconsistency, but no luck.

Agree unfortunately Halliday's holding the winger back was right in front of him so no argument with that although it was going on all over the pitch, what was disappointing was the blatant body check on Wright I think it was ? and he did nothing.
Although the score line suggests it was an easy game most who saw it know that was not the case until Cook got his second, Hughes said he'd watched Stevenage and knew their game was based around getting the ball into the area and playing off knock downs so don't give needless free kicks away, once again as at Tranmere Platt was immense at the centre of our defence.

No chance it was equally cynical. It was soft but you might be right about him getting to it before running out of play. The whole crowd of city fans baying for it? Who would've thought! I'd have been stunned if he'd given a yellow. If he'd pulled him back then yes it'd have been a booking.

Great win that. Well done lads. I can’t believe Cook has scored so many recent headers from such soft marking - either L2 defenders are useless or Cooky is just unplayable.

Lewis did well in net. Wright looks to have ability. Was a bit frustrated with Banks today but we know he can do better with a run.

that was just a brilliant display as they offered a threat but, beyond our goal, we also looked dangerous cutting in with two first half chances especially.

silly red card for Halliday but deserved. Hendrie deserves his chance now and wouldn’t surprise me if he kept the spot. Foulds deserves to keep it on the left.

Good performance today and deserved victory. Stevenage were a horrible side, long balls into the box from all angles with no attempt to play football whatsoever but I think we coped pretty well with it for the most part. Platt was very good once again.

Cook with another two good goals again and my god that's back to back corner goals which is remarkable considering we've been hopeless at set pieces for years.

Wright was excellent too. Worked his backside off and produced the moments of quality when needed.

Overall another pleasing afternoon and you still sense there's a lot more to come.

Vancooten is 6'4" and Piergianni is 6'1" not sure that's correct, they still had to man handle him and then Cook lost them both for the first goal.
