No I gladly volunteered that information. The camera images clearly show the tackle. I don't think seeing it live makes any difference to the ability to make a judgement.

If that challenge is deemed excessive force then we need to do away with any challenges that involve going to ground.

How can it not be excessive force when his leg was snapped in two?

I can't be arsed reading this thread.

So I'll cut to the chase.

We were spineless, we were toothless.

Across the board. Simply not good enough.

    Remember this...#577 reply.....

My experience is that every time a player breathes near a city player the whole block cries blue murder at the referee. I think most fans would concede that my scenario is more familiar.

Well only those in your block obvs. Where do you sit in case anyone on here cares to counter your assertion?

You've hardly posted on here in 4 years but tonight you've gone viral almost...thanks Ricky, really liked you as a player but....defending your son....nah...

    Yesterday was one crazy afternoon.
Certainly a match day memory but for all the wrong reasons.
Interpretation and application of the laws of football ruined by one individual in my opinion.

The sad thing is we are gonna have another season of sub standard refs to put up with :( first game in and it’s all about how bad the ref was ................ if he can’t see that as a red card then in all honesty he shouldn’t be allowed near a football pitch full stop

Might not be a bad thing.
Modern football has to move on and I’d prefer to watch a fast moving , highly technical game which reduces the risk of any player having their leg snapped in 2 places.
The same applies to heading the football from great heights. There’s no need to have that in the game anymore.

If you slide in for a challenge there's always a very small possibility a leg gets broken. I've seen hundreds of players slide in like Ravenhill did yesterday. You've got to punish the action rather than the consequence. If the authorities want to completely eradicate the possibility of leg breaks then they should outlaw any challenge where a player goes to ground.

If you climb ladders for a living there’s a small possibility you’ll fall off and die. Therefore nowadays there are safety regulations in place to reduce that risk.
The incident yesterday was a red card simply because the Donny lad dived in at full pelt with no possibility of knowing what the outcome would be.
That’s reckless and should have been punished accordingly even if there was no injury

It’s now got to the stage where he’s arguing contrary to something he wrote hours earlier. When it’s pointed out, his arguments are flawed he tries to argue it another way . Yet still wrong and trying to patronise at the same time. He wouldn’t do it in real life to me, he wouldn’t do it in the street, but having a £10 smart phone makes it “ brave”, thinking he/she is a Twitter King / Queen.

I won’t see his /her “ contributions” , rare they may be, again.

Pretty much my view of his performance if you can call it that! He lost control of the game from the off. He should have been flashing his yellow card to clamp down on the time wasting. It doesn’t matter if he adds time on or not; it is disruptive to a game of football and it doesn’t allow the game to flow. This automatically builds up frustration in the players and fans alike.

19,300 came to watch a game of football, and they were subjected to the stop start game that no one wanted to witness unless you are a Doncaster fan, who were celebrating their 0-0 victory at the end frustrations boiled over, and that was entirely the responsibility of the ref not doing his job. Doncaster manager can also take responsibility, to send a team out to deliberately defend with every single player for 90 minutes is a disgraceful way to manage a team. The EFL need to investigate this match, they can then show new recruits how not to referee a game.

Ravencliffe definitely went through our Player resulting in a double break. The tackle was reckless and dangerous. He should have been walking to the dressing rather than the subs bench. Their manager knew they had dodged a bullet hence why they took him off.

All in all a very frustrating game, the centre half pairing looked good. We were a little bit slow, but that will come, I still think we need a fast winger as an option..

It was awful watching Emmanuel leaving the field like that, he is a great character in the team and had already made some promising runs. We will miss him while he recovers..

I suppose we will have to get used to teams who come to thwart us rather than trying to outplay us, so they had better get ready. Onwards and upwards.

Devastated for Osadebe took the wind right out of my sails the whole game, can only hope it’s not career ending but it’s certainly season ending. What a shame. That Scottish moron in black can never return to VP in my opinion.

If the ref wanted to run the letter of the law he had umpteen chances to give their keeper a second yellow for time wasting...

as wrong as it is I actually don’t blame Doncaster for setting up that way any point here is a good point they will be the first of many to put these tactics into use trust me :( it’s shite it’s fooking awfull to watch but if you get a result out of it then fair enough
Hughes will have another 22 home games of this the majority of team will set up to frustrate the team and especially the fans :( it’s down to Hughes to fathom it out and us to be patient with the team that are up against shitehouse tactics ..................I’m sure away from home we will be fine because most teams will come out to have a go at us but it’s the home games that will be an issue
