Happy with that. I think he’s a solid, committed player and will run through brick walls for the side and get us up the pitch.

i’ve no idea on this, and merely guessing, but I reckon he’s a good character to have in the dressing room too. Have seen him having banter with other players (one of them jovially said he was very dense lol) on the media clips and on social media and he’s well liked in the dressing room it seems.

 

That I get. Monks said the same last season, maybe that’s what the management team have seen?

It’s not all about ability at this level, commitment and desire count for me and from what I have seen he has both those things

 

He missed Hughes’ first game then was on the bench the next, he was in 9 of Hughes’ 13 squads only starting 3 times one of which was the much changed team against Colchester. I don’t doubt he’s a useful squad player, but very unlikely to be a starter. He brings some energy of the bench but in a possession based team is pretty poor due to his very limited passing ability.

 

His game is all about energy and box to box play and I think he suffered more than most from covid as eluded to by Hughes in his comment.he will be competing for a place over a couple of positions next season a valuable signing

 

Which is his best position? He’s a useful bench player but I don’t fancy versatility players starting out of position. I’d like specialised players playing in specific positions who know their roles.

 

As a rule I agree but in Levi’s case I think he is equally at home as wing back and midfield

 

I think wing/full back might be worth a go but I’d certainly want to sign a specialist as well going onto the season. Attacking mid late in a game when stretched, but don’t see him from the start as Hughes likes possession football which doesn’t really suit his high pace and energy style.

 

I'm amazed that Hughes didn't try him there in a game or two. I can't see him having the technical ability to play in midfield with the way Hughes plays.

 

Seems a grand lad with a great engine but sadly lacking in the skill department. Very surprised he's been given two years. This worries me slightly.

It depends what he's been signed to do. If it's compete for a midfield place Id be hesitant in my praise as I don't think he's good enough to start in a midfield.

 

Hopefully a squad utility player. Not been that impressed with him. Runs around a lot but that’s it

 

That's the worrying part. The only thing that concerns me about Hughes is his lack of experience of lower league football. He must see something in Levi that I don't, and I really hope he's right and that this time next year we're not lamenting that we're stuck with Sutton for another year. I'll wait and see where we end up but he was one of the several mediocre players I was hoping to see the back of.

 

If your playing a two man midfield he ain't good enough to start. Don't mind as a three or a wing back.

 

It may make us a wee bit more attractive and help us bring in a few quality players .With Hughes in charge it may well be the beginning of the much needed green shoots of our recovery..hopefully Championship football by the end of Mark's term.

 

Good news. Great energy and judging from the past few seasons, it is hard to find someone is genuinely able to play a couple of games, come in and do a decent job.
