I know be we shouldn't be counting him in the numbers when considering positions which need filling though, get him shifted somehow if we can but can't see him playing much at all next year

 

I don't mind keeping Sutton or Hendrie if they are nothing more than squad players. The problem comes if we can't get rid of Threlkeld then suddenly Hendrie becomes our starting RB. Hopefully the club know Threlkeld is on his way out.

At Rochdale away I was in line with him most of the first half and couldn't believe how bad he actually was close up... a couple of things he did he'd genuinely have been laughed at in Sunday League

At the time Watt and Cooke were poor Sutton was the one player who had drive and got up and down the pitch and the one midfielder who got in the opposition box. However after not starting much under Hughesci expect him to move

Nowhere in my post did I say I was in the know. I was speculating and TBH I can spot it a mile off. Some posters seem to think that these things would be released to the media. Its his own personal health and things like that people keep private. I just look at him and knowing the signs see a guy who is going through something. But yeah just speculation.

There’s been a couple of comments in here stating how there may be an issue in terms of hendrie resigning as we’d have 3 right backs on the books. As far as im aware, Threlkeld is a CDM by trade? so we should class him as such. Irrespective of the fact that he’s been deployed at right back all season. Right Back was never his position

As for FCD, He’s a Centre Back who can cover at Right Back if needed. As some have said, young CBs can often begin their career from the flank in order to mould them into playing at a professional level

So even if Hendrie does sign, We will only have 1 actual Right Back on the books. An id imagine that the idea for him is to be a backup, with Hughes having the plan of bringing a first 11 Right Back into the team at some point in the summer.

Sutton is your archetypal utility player. Has the best engine I've seen in a player for some time and is pretty rapid pace wise but doesn't have the attributes to be a starting midfielder in a two man midfield. I'd say attacking right back should be his natural position as positional sense isn't as important as it is in central midfield.

 

ROD's wife isn't happy. She's tweeted that they found out he's been released on Twitter. I mean, they must have some idea it was coming but still, it's poor from the club if true.

 

He should have joined the 1903 club then he would have been told 5 mins before.

 

I agree, I now understand the signs of someone suffering after not realising I've been suffering myself for years and you can tell the lad has been having a tough time. Hard enough for anyone to cope with but throw in being in the spot light of thousands of fans ripping you to bits every week and it's a whole new level. I hope he comes through to enjoy his football again.
