Agree Fordy. It's MH's shout and he'll know what he's looking for in players to stick or twist with. It's clear that the man has a plan. And one very different to Adams glum pragmatism.

 

Can't help thinking he would rather be in Scotland,which is understandable seeing as his family are there.Does not give the impression he has any affinity for City,just looking for the best deal.

 

Reading that article and one of the things that strikes me is that the players didn't have any more of a clue about the new manager than us punters did.

 

Jack Payne out if contract if we cant get Walker. Payne was superb for half a season but then turned to shit like the rest of the squad. Scored 11 goals for Swindon this season.

Still think there is a player in there and the only goal scoring midfielder we have had in the last decade or so! Our current squad seriously lacks goals so Payne only improves that.

 

I thought Walker and Cook linked up good yesterday. It’s a shame Elliot is out as Cook seems to blow out after 65 mins. Lord Lucan added something but your right Walker is a nice to have player.

 

I don’t think Hughes will have been blown away by Walker since he arrived. I hope he gets a little run though as I do like him and want to keep him if its a possibility.

I would have Payne back in a heartbeat. Classy player for this level, and you would think would thrive under Hughes

 

Why would walker have any affinity to city, came here for game time, family lives in Scotland, he will want a team back up there.

 

Think he’s slightly over rated personally, should have finished on Saturday.

 

All we did was pay Huddersfield a greater proportion of his wages. He was still getting the same.

He lost form because other teams realised pretty quickly that he was our only creative player and they just marked him out of the game, which left Hope Akpan as our next most creative midfielder.
