Is this the same team that have won 6 of the last 7. They looked a good team at this level much better than us

 

Oldham has been a recent graveyard for city managers. I wouldn’t be unhappy If it was again.

 

any team with any half decent set up will always look better than us ........... how many times this season have we made pee poor teams look good ???? From Scunthorpe to Carlisle to no doubt plenty of others that’s the really frustrating thing this league is poor and any half decent manager would have had that squad in at least the top 7 sadly we are dealing with a man who just keeps reverting back to his past record rather than what’s happening now let’s not forget this City side should have beat this lot at the start of the season I mean how the hell can we go from what went off in August to this????

I saw we'd gone a goal down just before half time so I sent our Ethan a text asking what it was like he said enjoy you weekend grandad you’ve missed nothing here.

 

Spent the day in the 13 suite and with the 80's team. How I wish this squad has an ounce of spirit that they had. That was one of the worst games I've seen for a while. The weather wasn't the best but Exeter were comfortable and the atmosphere flat.

That's me done I'm afraid. That side doesn't hashes the fight or ambition to get out of this league. There's no structure that can be seen or plan of a way forward. Completely lacking in excitement after a good win in the week.

 

I don’t think Exeter even got out of third gear. They didn’t need to. Their left back (caprice?) had our defence for toast. So did their two strikers making runs into the box and along the line. Matty Jay had so much time and space on the ball. They didn’t need to be anything other than “bang average” to beat us.

Adams out.

 

I have my fingers crossed the trigger is pulled before we get to the Oldham game!!!! I think the penny must have finally dropped for everyone as I am yet to see a ‘give him more time post’. The man is toxic and I have never seen a manger driving a wedge like this guy, people didn’t like Bowyers football but Delusional Derek makes him look like Kevin Keegan by comparison and Bowyer came across as a decent human being. I have said previously if you were a player would you want to play for DA??? If he is given the bullet and someone takes the shackles off we will see a hugely different team, in a division as pathetic as it is our current crop of players should be good enough for play offs at least. I know there is a cost implication but listen to Del Boy in his interview today he is the dogs you know what’s so he will have no problem getting another job so if he is right he won’t cost us anywhere near as much as people are saying to get shut of…… ADAMS OUT

 

I've previously explained, so won't bore everyone by repeating it in full, but I don't think it'll cost anywhere near the figure you quote. Basically, he'd go on "gardening leave" and the onus is on him to mitigate his loss. I didn't want Adams in the first place because I wasn't influenced by his promotions. There are other aspects, which fans are now all too familiar with. It's a folly for any business to keep someone who's failing in their job.

 

That's a very fair point Dave and in hindsight my comments were made on the basis RS has a feeling for the club that is way in advance of anything Adams will ever have.
As for replacing Adams there are serious questions over his footballing knowledge to pick the right man I agree

 

I don't blame Ryan for this appointment really.

It makes sense. Back a guy who just got promoted and has got promoted out of the division twice. He's shown how to get out and had a good history with recent success.

He can say has backed him in terms of his scouts and, if we believe what Adams says, he had input into or decisions on all signings in the last two windows.

Could he have worked out Adams would be arrogant and start talking nonsense like he has in recent press conferences? I guess Ryan was hoping it would all go well and wasn't really thinking that it would be as bad as it is.

Ultimately, Ryan said the aim was promotion so if there are not consequences when we don't make the play offs then he could look very weak.

 

The club is not rudderless. Most on here havent a clue what Sparks does for the club. Dont blame Ryan for Adams inability to get the best from our players

 

Yeah the atmosphere was awful. Only time the fans sung was “Derek Adams, your football is s***e”

 

Most haven't a clue? Very dismissive when you don't know what fans know. I know for a fact Rupp ain't interested and Sparks has little enthusiasm from his boss meaning he has little to work with. That said he should never have been made CEO, he has a massive choice to make in the coming week. Keep Adams and risk losing a large part of the fan base, sack him and it makes his decision to bring him here look very wrong.

 

Sparks hasn't got a single footballing decision right since he's been here.

Well we were heading out of the league when he took over and we finished comfortably so he got that right

Not at all that was a major positive as for the appointment of Adams of all people available at that time he was easily the best qualified he ticked all the boxes. So why he has failed so miserably is a mystery
