I see it like this ...

Sparks signed Adams with the view he can get teams promoted on the cheap ... he has in the past

He now realises this isnt always the case so next year must get rid of the rot and up the budget and have a real dig at it , Unless he comes out in the press and says this we will continue to lose fans

This year has been shite so he better do something... And soon

He isn’t upping the budget again. We have f@cked up this year.

@Mike Hunt@Mike Hunt said he at the end of summer spend 200k on a decent forward and we will be up there. We didn’t and now we are midtable. Mansfield spent money over took us and now 5th.

Tranmere got a lad on lad on loan from Liverpool and signed some others and now 2nd.

Salford got Matt Smith now they are above us.

Bradford City is badly run club that doesn’t know what it’s doing. We won’t up the budget next season and the likes of Stockport or Halifax will over take us soon enough unless Rupp & Sparks leave.

"Salford got Matt Smith". In Salford's last 6 games he scored for them once. Same as Tom Elliot!

Think every comment I read about Matt Smith on here pointed out that he can't score for toffee, even at this level.

    Not really surprised.

Will be happier when Elliott has scored for us, though.

I'm not convinced by Elliot either, it's just that I don't think signing Matt Smith has been a game changer for Salford. Although I have to fess up and say I have no idea if he has played well for them. Their results have been nothing to write home about

Doesn’t matter he’s made them a better team. They were below us. Now above us!

If I was going to compare the signings of Smith and Elliott, I'd look no further than the fact Smith has played 90 minutes 4 times, and 89 minutes once.

Elliott has played 16 minutes, 13 minutes, 57 minutes, and 10 minutes.

That alone tells me Smith is a better signing as he's actually important to the Salford team. Elliott, not so much.

Its all good for @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler and @johndewhirst@johndewhirst to add clarity and I think the sensible people understand that we are not currently rotting. However as far as fans go we are a championship fan base. We endured bad times 2009-2012 and then witnessed a resurgence that made lots of other clubs fans jealous. It was for a few years providing fans with prowess as opposed to now being embarrassed being a city fan. The losses to harrogate and carlisle as a fan were embarrassing I mean Harrogate had semi detached houses taller and right next to their mickey mouse stands. Nothing wrong with that for them but when you see it from our perspective, to come from the glory years to this. Why would any entertainment business think thats acceptable?

I have for years been saying that reality needs to be paid attention to. Rupp is trying to fix issues from Rahic and its a matter of time. Then some very clever crypto guys come along and want to buy the club. Instead of going ahead, Rupp saw the outcry from the luddites in the T&A and WOAP and shat himself. It was a beacon moment for me. We could have been a forward thinking club with a revolutionary way of doing business, something for the press to talk about. Instead he decided to keep us and proclaimed to be doing us a huge favour. At that point he needed to put more money in or do something other than tell us that he has saved us from millions of pounds of investment.

If people want to disagree with the idea that crypto is the way forward. Just tell that to Salford and Gary Neville who has just launched his own DAO with the CO92. Investing in footy technologies and things which enrich the sport. Rupp and Sparks and DA are blind to the fans concerns. They are just thinking we whinge and moan. Well NO we turn up in thousands for L2 dross, we provide a championship following and then get castigated for expecting some desire from the footballers and humility from the manager.

Football is funny sport to follow. Demands for instant impact and positive change. No parience at all. Let's see where the teams finish come the end of the season.

After one win on the back of 3 demoralising results is not the time for one or two on here to start trying to claim some sort of moral high ground - I find that as disrespectful as some of the more negative outbursts that appear on here.
Lets just agree that we all want City to do well and ideally to do it in a way that upholds the values that I for one hold very special about our club.
We all have a part to play and perhaps we have all failed a bit if we are being totally honest- from owners, management, players and fans.
We all know we really need to go again v Exeter this weekend and perhaps, just perhaps, the past couple of weeks and last nights result might be the galvanising on-switch we needed. As a long standing City fan I really hope so

If the club was as open and engaging about issues, not necessarily issues such as this, but if they were more open and honest, instead of spinning some right rubbish from time to time, then maybe just maybe they might get an easier ride.

I have to agree with a lot of what you say. Crypto has a future and it's still pretty much in its infancy but gaining momentum.

New ways of doing things scare people because it's the unknown. Successful people are by their nature trail blazers and tread the untrodden path. Businesses in this world wouldn't diversify and expand if they didn't. I wasn't so concerned about the Crypto model, it was more the lack of knowledge demonstrated by the potential owners about running a football club and the finer details of Bradford City. It didn't seem like they had done their due diligence thoroughly for me.

The panic from the T&A and WOAP may well have been well intended but it also smacked of fear of the unknown. Rupp needs to do his own thinking on such matters.

Like it or not but the facts are under Rupp we have gone backwards.

It’s like hating Fred West but loving Rosemary. Rupp is just as bad as Edin if not worse.

For you and Ryan to stand by Rupp is a joke! Hidden agendas?

How is Rupp moving the club forward? Always makes me laugh when people say I couldn’t stand working with this person but stay.

Rupp needs to sell up before he kills this club.

two points. make no mistake - if Rupp had gone with Wagmi you would have morphed from a fan into an asset to be exploited - some might say that is already the case, but at least you're not being compelled to buy into some value-less and non marketable garbage (you want the only authentic digital copy of Threlkeld's long throw that Lavery converted? Certainly sir - that'll be £900) so that we can have a new striker. Ultimately value resides in stuff we can use and stuff we can eat - invest in the art market if you want - (most artists only make money after they are dead - they're not making it anymore) Invest in land if you must (they're not making it anymore), invest in tulips if you want (plenty of them) but digital merchandise? Come on! I give it three years and you'll be left holding a picture of the last working hand dryer in Valley Parade, whilst the owners (Wagmi - remember them?) will be pocketing the proceeds and waking up in their air-con condos, unruffled, to perpetrate some even more esoteric bollocks that no-one actually understands. I don't know the man, I probably don't like the man any more than you but I think it is entirely to Rupp's credit that he gave these fraudsters the bum's rush. Especially if, as has been widely reported, he turned down an offer that was more than his original investment, because he felt it wouldn't be good for BCAFC. Boycott all you want, if you're prepared to accept the potential consequences. For myself I'll continue to ride the roller coaster that is being a BCAFC fan - we will lose when we deserved to win, and scrape a draw when we are outplayed. If you think that status and winning are everything in football then you have a different understanding of sport to me, a different set of values that I certainly don't despise, but can't understand or embrace.

We’ll never know if they’d have been good or bad owners but your post is just conjecture nothing else, Rupp didn’t refuse to sell for our benefit it’s because he didn’t deem the offer good enough. Plenty of sources say he way over values the club so it’s no surprise. As for hand dryers, it’s not long ago the club were trying to raise money begging fans to buy new ones not long ago, and still no hot water in the kop. It’d cost Rupp pocket change to sort out yet he doesn’t, it’s truly pathetic he’s got no interest in any sort of small or large investment and people like yourself Lord him because he put his business interest first that’s all. As long as it doesn’t cost him money he doesn’t give a shit, only when it starts to will he wake up.

It’s something odd that some humans do take the piss or discredit something when the person has made millions upon millions on whole themselves sit on an average salary in a moderate house, don’t think those in their mansions will be to bothered but still a random outlook saying something is nonsense while that person is flying on private jets and can do anything in the world.
