Ok. So its not Rupps fault.

    Its all the bad managers.

Who appoints these bad managers? The CEO.

    Who appoints the CEO?

Does it really matter if the owner is a Bradfordian? Seriously?

I think it is far more important that the owner nurtures the club, has a tangible interest in how it is progressing.

How many of the top clubs are owned by someone who either originates from or resides in the same postcode as the ground. You can probably count them on the fingers of a trout! The nearest is probably Daniel Levy.

And how many are owned by people who don't reside in the UK ? Probably quite a few.

Rupp is responsible for 2 key things: the amount of investment he wants to put into the club and (as a distant and non football fan owner) appointing a CEO to run the club on his behalf.
The decision to appoint the managers we have had are down to the CEO with sign off from Rupp. Sparks was able to play Billy Big Balls with Trueman and Sellars, a quick reset with McCall but is obviously more intimidated by Adams.
There is a strong case for wanting each of Rupp, Sparks and Adams out of the club but its not going to happen. So we are stuck at least until the summer when we will be promised another major rebuild to the team, Sparks will reappear with some grand overviews and Rupp....? God only knows

Get rid of Rupp and Sparks almost certainly goes with him, new owners would almost certainly want a new MD in place.

Sparks learnt from his mentor Rhodes, which probably disappoints me most. Last summer it felt like we’d changed from that routine of a CEO who only speaks come season ticket sale time, baring the odd supporters meeting to keep up appearances. It’s Groundhog Day this club it really is.

Spot on. My point in not fully jumping on the Rupp Out bandwagon is that he has appointed a CEO to run things simply because he is not a football man. Would I prefer a football man ? Absolutely, but Rupp has kept the club afloat and provided a very good budget, which successive managers have wasted through poor selections, and those managers have been appointed by the CEO.

As a non football man, I don't expect Rupp to know anything about the managerial choices other than to simply agree with the CEO. He's not in a position to say no really, I don't expect him to. He knows nothing about football.

In most cases, owners are passive and have very little influence on direction other than to sign the cheques. The exception being those who have money to burn and a driving passion to be the local hero like the guys at Wrexham. The norm is to have an owner who has very little day to day involvement.

I'm not absolving Rupp or backing him, he could change the direction of the club, but it's not why he owns the club, he owns it because he was initially foolish enough to trust Rahic and then feels some sort of conviction to keep us going, which he is doing albeit with no progress.

Ultimately we need a vibrant new owner, who is a football man and can change direction, hopefully if the rumours of a local consortium are true that will happen, but for now I would happier to see a CEO who can do the owner's bidding and a manager who has some passion for his job and the ability to build a promotion winning squad, even if that is done on the cheap.

I see Rupp as the least of the problem (of the three) and the other two the bigger problem.

Rupp appointed him still I cannot recall mass protests when the CEO brought these managers in .............. was you against all the managers that he’s brought in ?????
Nope I bet 90% where more than happy at his appointments now is it his fault that with decent budgets they have made a mess of it ????
Still no doubt if it does work out in the end you will continue with your Rupp out campaign ???
Nahhhh it will magically go missing

Why is this always the go to excuse? In recent years we've had loads of interest in buying us. We had Palladini and when the Germans bought us Lawn and Rhodes said they were the preferred party out of 3. Last year we had Huw Jenkins and a month ago we had Wagmi. We're a potential goldmine with the right people and people like MacAnthony know this. Stop returning to this bullshit excuse.

Well it's not going to work out is it? If it magically did then I'd still be Rupp out. You think we'd survive in League One like this?

So the logic for the last 5 years has been to sack the manager, and yeah their football has been shit to watch, so I've been for their sacking. But do you think it's an enormous coincidence that at this point we're 10 managers deep and they all underperform? Now you want to sack Adams and repeat the entire process again! I'm not saying Adams doesn't deserve sacking, but I don't see the point of sacking him and appointing someone new when the cycle is going to repeat and we'll be looking for a new manager come the summer. Whoever is appointed as the next manager will fail as long as Rupp is still the owner.

If you want to build a sturdy house you start with the foundations. This house collapses every 6 months and we're changing the decor

The decent budgets aren't provided by Rupp but by the fact we're mugs who'll buy 15k season tickets and still turn up to spend our cash when we're shit.

After WAGMI, that argument is dead and buried.
If Dagenham & Redbridge and Stevenage can get investors so can Bradford City.

Unfortunately we don’t find out about all the bids and/or the value of them. If we found out Rupp was knocking back reasonable offers or even profit then we’d really be giving him both barrels. mad owner it’s his perogative but if he’s rejecting good offers and yet doesn’t show interest or further investment-why?

Do the 15k provide massive season ticket sales ???? I bet we ain’t pulling much more in season ticket revenue than Swindon ours are £250 there are probably around the £350 to £400 mark you whack ours up to that mark and watch the 15k drop dramatically.............. btw I have supported Adams you look back through my post but the piss poor signings are his players the negative tactics are his tactics what’s that got to do with Rupp ???? Nothing at all............... oh any word on the new investor your looking out for ???
