It’s only human nature that it’s on his mind.Didn’t stop him scoring on Saturday obviously but what about that tight 0-0 game with 5 minutes left when that split second doubt causes him to fluff his lines.

 

That’s why we deffo need another striker .......... if Angol is still not feeling right then why flog him till he breaks down again hopefully someone is in before this happens again ......... if we just go in with two injury prone strikers and two strikers that ain’t up to it then expect a midtable finish

 

I've just read the minutes from the recent Supporters Board meeting.

The club acknowledges that the hand dryers in the toilets need replacing, but the work hasn't been budgeted and fund raising efforts would be appreciated.

I wonder what our proud custodian makes of that?

Read a lot of comments here about NL level strikers we have had in the past not working like Hannah and Chilaka. The thing about Charman is, before Darlo he was playing regular under 23 games for Newcastle and scoring regularly too. He's come from a premier League set up. He will know what being a pro is like unlike someone in the mould of Hannah/Chilaka who have done it for Matlock or the dog and duck, but never been at a high level set up. Added to that he went on loan to Accrington, so will know what a football league full time set up is like. Imo Charman (who I've seen play) is streets ahead of Lavery and Robinson and would compliment Cook and Angol massively. Added to that he's 24 not a young lad or a washed up journeyman.

The fact is when fit we have two good strikers and we need competition for those places an up and coming player willing to earn his place is what’s needed. With Angol’s injury record he probably won’t have to wait long

Im sorry but Angol and Cook are hardly Son and Kane. There are better strikers out there who can improve us. Neither are undroppable and with only Angol and Cook we are staying in League 2.

I have no issue with that. But its extremely short sighted to suggest that Angol and Cook is going to be enough. Our league position is proof it isnt.
