Hope Rupp supporters can come out and explain how he's going to fund the club by selling helicopter seats to fans, and his intentions for the future, the January window, the purchasing of the ground and training facilities, and our recruitment approach, or are they not going to offer him the same criticism?

We actually know more about this WAGMI group than Rupp and that says a lot. When was the last time Rupp actually spoke to the fans in the manner they did? They hadn't even confirmed it was us they were buying and still had more contact with us than he has. What's to stop him from holding a twitter space like that? He doesn't give a feck that's what.

He's everything people feared this WAGMI group 'COULD' be after the assumption that their 'investment would fail'. Disinterested, distant and overseeing a constant year on year decline. Now he get's to act the hero to his delusional groupies because well, "we could end up like Bury!", when we've got no assets to strip and they're paying £10m more than we're worth. Bury was the best thing that could've happened for Rupp.

Id say the chances of more postponed games and possible circuit breakers are high so clubs are looking at even more losses this winter.
If we do any big business in Jan under these current circumstances then I’d be shocked.
I’ve no idea how deep Rupps pockets are but if he’s serious about being committed to the club then he has to back Adams this January. It’s absolutely imperative.

Well, I can honestly say it all feels like one big tease.

I sympathise with Rupp, because he shouldn't have to dance to someone else's tune. If someone wants to buy the club, buy it. Make Rupp sell it. It's that simple.

All this bullshit posturing seems like just that; bullshit.

What looked like a megabucks takeover has suddenly been declared a no-go. Why? If $20million is the small potatoes the NYP article and all the bluster made it seem, why would one rebuttal from Rupp end their interest?

I'm not sure these guys will end up buying an EFL club, I'm not sure this group is what it claims to be - I think it's an idea, nothing more, and whoever is hiding behind the WAGMI acronym, where's all this big time support they supposedly have? Make a $20 million bid, buy the club... shit or get out of the cubicle.

Rupp is a rubbish owner in my eyes, his appointments to key positions (and lack of appointments in critical areas) are all drawn from the cheapest, most local pool, but this all just seems like a waste of time and pointlessly disruptive. I've seen fans on Twitter literally begging this Jack fella to 'not give up on City'. Are you kidding me? Just buy the club if you want it that bad. If all they want is a 'lottery ticket', pay up or shut up. At no point has value ever been a consideration or an issue in anything I've read from this group, so that's no excuse. Buy or leave.

Quite clearly, they've gone. I imagine we won't hear from them again.

He's using the cheapest possible available means.

Scouts who are easily dispensed with, a CEO who happened to be an in-house appointment, cheap, cheap, cheap, sustainable, sustainable, sustainable.

We know, it's shite.

But simply dangling a gilded carrot in front of our noses isn't enough for me. Where's the financial might this group is claiming? Where's the aggressive takeover? "Oh, sorry, Rupp doesn't want to sell", that's a cop out.

 

If WAGMI are right, it at least shows Rupp is open to offers.

I feel a little deflated right now about the whole thing. The deal might not have been right but Rupp had a chance to reset and go again. Instead we get a half arsed statement from Rupp that should have been about additional investment, backing the manager and getting out of the league this year with his support. Instead we get an empty statement probably written by Sparks about protecting the club. He’s completely missed the mood of the supporters and thinks bobbing along is good enough. Hopefully he’s waiting for a more credible offer now people know he’s listening.

As I alluded to earlier with the Morrison’s thing, it sounds strange that a multimillion offer having been agreed on, back word is given and off the suitors go, never to be seen again?

 

WAGMI isn’t the problem though! The Problem is the current owner and the fact he’s come out with a bizarre statement that has been contradicted after saying nothing for nearly 2 years. Where’s the transparency. Where’s his plan? Why are we told the club will communicate more with fans and then have the CEO disappear from the face of the earth.
Were these guys a little unprofessional and a little off the cuff? Yes absolutely, I agree with you. They probably were excited. They had hundreds of people on Twitter fuelling it. They may have got a tad carried away in their comments but they never actually named us as the club and it all went a bit mental.
What this whole episode has given us though is that Stefan Rupp and Ryan Sparks are cowards and liars. They don’t know the meaning of transparent. I’d throw Simon Parker in there too. Disgraceful Journalism from him over the past 2 days. Probably told to be that way by the club. We stink. We’re rotten. Any change at this point is worth a shot.

Whatever the merits of it if they had kept a low profile a few more days they may have succeeded. I am glad they alerted everyone

Sparks isn't the man. He shouldn't be the CEO of this football club. Rupp isn't the man, either. He shouldn't be the owner of this football club.

But I'm not sure they're 'liars and cowards' - maybe time will prove that the case, but I'm not convinced at this point. I want better for Bradford City, we shouldn't be 16th in League Two, there's simply no excuse for that. If I owned the club and had appointed Sparks, I would be letting him go now, I won't lie about that. I'm not impressed by him in the slightest. I think he's done some things well, but I want more from a CEO. But if I owned the club, I'd also be looking at myself. Why have we gone so far backwards with me as custodian? Why are fans so unhappy? Why is the picture so bleak fans are literally begging for anything else, whether it's a proven alternative or not?

Rupp's got to sort it out, because we're not stupid, and we know we're being fed garbage. In house appointments to key positions with ZERO experience. Coaches drawn from the radio. Staff members drawn from a local rugby team.

But that can be fixed without selling the club to WAGMI.

 

Heartbroken? Really? Cry me a river. An opportunity to possibly make some money has been lost, no doubt not for the first time, nor the last. A successful businessman will have alternates. It's all part of the game.

We’re being lied to. We’re being sold crap. We’re being told told one thing and getting the opposite.
Where is Ryan Sparks? Where is this so called Transparency. He’s all over little partnership deals but when it comes to sorting actual problems he’s silent and no where to be seen.
His little 3 day T&A exclusive was garbage and told us nothing. Raised season ticket prices and told us that anything else other than promotion was failure. Maybe calling them out as liars and cowards is harsh but to be honest it’s exactly how I feel. Our owner is a disgrace. He’s an abject failure!! Am I bothered that this group have been sent packing? Not at all, but I am embarrassed by the statement from Rupp and the circus that he has turned us into.
