Think all the NFT offerings by football clubs have dropped since purchase price and worth a lot less than paid for,

 

Why is it that whenever we (i.e. the fan base) discuss future prospects and the idea of change, we fixate on the downside of our history rather than looking at the potential we might have for the future? I really don’t understand it. The ‘be grateful we have a club’ mentality pervades the club and areas of our fan base. Unless that changes, we’ll never amount to anything.

 

I’m bothered about Bradford City 2021 not Bradford City of 1966 or even Bradford City 2012, football changes and moves on. We’ve never been to non league before, with our relatively large overheads and reliant on a big fan base at a cheap price non league would finish us. You wanting us to rely on getting another Parky to save us is nonsense and a ridiculous business strategy.

 

So what ?

 

The outcome of a crypto/ NFT involved club is quite simple, There is no upside for the club, Ether it goes wrong and the club goes bust, OR it works well and the owners pocket the wealth that it makes, I see very little gains for the club and supporters

 

I must realise as an old fart myself I'm behind the times when it comes to the modern world of technology and in that sense Bradford as a city is 20 years behind the times. I've realised if you don't embrace it you get left behind and even though the proposed takeover might not materialise football as an industry will move with the times. If we don't we will die.

 

Can you remember exactly what you were doing in February 2013??? I’m guessing you were like many other city fans frantically trying to get your Wembley tickets.
I bet you like most city fans spend a few hundred pounds at least.
If you had spent £300 on something invisible (100 bitcoins at that time), you’d now have 4.5million in your bank.
Don’t dismiss things you don’t understand just because you don’t understand it.

 

It's these fans from the olden days just constantly wearing failure as a badge of honour. They've no interest in seeing us climbing the ladder because it means people will forget we were sh1t and thus their "I was at that Hereford game" retort won't get them any kudos.

 

Yeah but look who have been offering them? Some of the biggest, richest and high profile clubs around.

We're far better placed to succeed in the NFT market than them, we're Bradford City.

 

Success on the pitch and financially would drive up value.

And I think this goes beyond just virtual financing.

They're talking about complimentary revenue streams too, from new fans.

 

And what was it that bucked that trend and showed us there was better?
A chancer named Stafford Heginbottom ? Followed by an unproven car salesman , followed by someone who made a fortune from cigarette lighters.
The fact is we bettered ourselves as a club, increased the fanbase and it’s a travesty that the hard work of the above counts for nothing as we find ourselves back in the doldrums.

I could see that happening here under Rupp too. Especially if he doesn't sell and continues to show no appetite for investing to take the club forward.

We're separated with Oldham by 10 points and our form over the last 20 games is similar. Lets not kid ourselves that we're not that far away from what they're dealing with.

 

What about the unseen many who have lost big money looking to get rich quick

There's a whole generation growing up on virtual gaming communities, following esports teams, etc etc that tap into a collective virtual community. That's the complimentary revenue bit.
