crypto has no legal protection and is unregulated. If you kept your pounds or dollars that will be legal tender for at least 20 years. No idea if the same was with bitcoin.

i would tell any potential buyers to purchase in cash. If they suggested otherwise i would tell them to get lost.

That being said pretty sure YP reported a cash offer was made.

@Loyalbantam if that was the case why don't you buy bitcoin right now? Governments wouldn't like to lose the monetary control they have right now. China and India, i am expecting bans or government regulation on crypto currencies.

Not sure what to make of all this. I dont know enough about this crypto stuff to form an opinion.
What this might do though , is prompt interest from other parties,
The rumoured £15 million seems a bit steep for the club though, and if Mr Rupp is that disinterested in the club, as many would have us believe , i am pretty certain he would have snapped their hand off, That would be a great return on his investment .

 

I’ve been bored stiff, you have, everyone has for 3-4 years now. It’s a disappointing chore going to the games.
Kids are losing interest, even adults. Football is supposed to be your weekend distraction, your enjoyment.
I’d be more than happy to toss that coin, take a risk and try something drastically different.
A risk, yeah we know the potential consequences of a risk.
Right now, I think there’s an equally big risk from staying as we are, which is a continuing downwards trend with no sign of it being averted.
Bring on some adventure is what I say.

How can it be 1000 x worse than under Rahic? The Serbian overlord has pretty much brought this club to its knees. I break my silence to say this only. Totally agree with your comments. This is nothing to do with football it’s all to do with speculators who won’t be around when it all hits the fan. According to today’s Yorkshire PST the BBC have done research which shows NFTs can be worthless and their value has bombed.
PSG from £42.02 to £10.32, Man C from£24.62 to £6.61 in FOUR months and Leeds who lets face it are not in the same class as the other two only launched 3 months ago and down from £4.53 to£3.78. If a PL club is at that value where would we be. Anyone heard the song of the “Kings new clothes”?

Honestly i don’t understand this forum, so inpatient… they are acting like these will be the only people ever with interest for BCAFC…

people just need to wait for a better custodian.

 

The club is slowly(?) dying a death anyway, until our master sh1ts or gets off the pot then other avenues must be explored at least..

 

The club isn’t dying it’s suffering from a lack of success. It seems to me business in West Yorkshire is backing with sponsorship and the club unlike most is solvent.
Of course it’s time we got it right on the field now which will rejuvenate everything so until the club is in new hands as it eventually will be Derek Adams get your finger out

 

Quite agree with the reserving judgement - but certainly won’t be dismissing the idea out of hand without knowing. Neither would I say yep (although if I had to say yay or nay without knowing more I’d probably go with yay right now), let’s go for it, but definitely explore it!

 

I never fail to be amazed that the comparison to absolute basket cases like Bury or Macclesfield is meant to make us feel better. It’s like saying “cheer up, you could be dead” to a patient in an ICU.

Five and a half years ago Stefan Rupp walked in to this club. We were at the pointy end of league one, had one of the most successful managers in our history, there was a great feeling around the place. had a good squad of dedicated players and IIRC the main division amongst fans was “is James Hanson any good?”

Fast forward to December 2021 and we have a fan base who bicker about everything, a year on year decline in league position, it’s depressing to watch us play struggling against the Suttons and Colchesters of the world, we have a squad who by and large look like they don’t give a toss, we’re on our eighth manager in five years and all we can do is say at least we’re not extinct.

And yet there are still people who praise Rupp and maintain if it wasn’t for him keeping the club alive where would we be? It could be worse yes, it could be a whole lot better though.

I have no idea about Wagmi, nobody does, but as a fan base we should stop with the it could be worse we could be extinct trope, stop demanding the names and bank details of an alternative if anyone suggests Rupp sells. Let’s be demanding, let’s stop accepting mediocrity and let’s unite to get Rupp out before the inevitable happens and we slide into non league, because that will kill us.

 

What I will say is, regardless of whether people are positive or negative towards this story, it does probably heap more pressure on Rupp to deliver success.
