Sparky has sacked 3 managers in a short length of time and should make it 4 and bring in Flynn while he is available

 

I have not listened to DMAC because I find his continuous self publicity nauseating but I wonder if he has actually met and talked to Derek Adams? The description I've read above sounds just like the current manager at Peterborough.
The Posh chairman once appointed Graham Westley so he knows how to pick them!

 

I don't know enough about Peterborough, but it's not relevant to us or the point I was making.

We're in the doldrums, we've been in decline for five seasons, we need a manager who is going to enthuse, give us confidence and be inspiring. That's what will help the mentality and help us punch our weight.

We've got the almost reverse of that in terms of our manager's personality.

Bradford City in league two cannot be the plucky underdog beating the odds like Morecambe were.

Not sure why the love-in for Flynn by many on here. Is it because he is an ex-City player?, because he has achieved nothing as a manager yet. Granted he did well to keep Newport up in his first season, but he was out-foxed by Adams in the playoff final last season.

 

I wouldn't say he was out foxed in the boring final.

Darragh Macanthony absolutely spot on here Bradford City should not be winning just 2 games in 20 in this crap house league. For his part Adams should not be coming out with the crap he keeps coming out with ? Unless he has hankering after getting the boot and a pay off ? Sparks should haul him in give him the hard word that results have got to change, the perfrmances of players must improve and if not hes out by Christmas. DMacA would not put up with this garbage week in week out. As he says he could put his daughter in charge of the team and win more than two games in twenty ? Adams just looks more and more ridiculous and less and less the right man for this club.

 

Their fans were glad to get shit of him, ironically those calling Adams a cry baby it’s exactly what he ended up doing at Newport and putting players out in the cold. Don't be silly Ray, you know as well as I do, that IF we got to Wembley you'd get caught up in the false optimision and be there like a shot. It's human nature.

 

He was right about the (posh) academy too, we need to promote youth and the likes of Reece Staunton (a real prospect) should be getting a gig in the first team, we should not be wasting wages on washed up has-beans that have no future value. Adams needs to make use of quality loans from higher up too instead of signing rejects like Lavery/Robinson.

Tbh I don’t mind Adams being a dour cry baby, many a good manager has been in the camp.

They lost again today. I can't understand some of our fellow posters fascination with the so-called Dmac.

 

Totally agree with you about Staunton. But I would add, what we - and he - have to be proactive about is pinning down his best position, and I think this is the 'VP Disease' that affects a lot of our promising young players. They seem to be regarded as play-em-anywhere utility players, to fill in when regulars are injured or suspended. This does Staunton, Cousin-Dawson et al no favours. Yes, it might give them first team experience but we're not helping to develop them in their best positions.

 

I heard Adams talking about Staunton recently and in his opinion left back would be his strongest position, however, Staunton prefers centre back. Maybe this is the reason he has been out of favour with Adams?
