Come on Fordy, that's ridiculous.

Sparks has gone out and put his neck on the line and he's got one of the top three most sought after managers from what I've read from City fans. Alongside Wellens and Jackett/Parky, Adams was always a fan favourite.

If ADAMS doesn't deliver promotion (let alone automatic), his position is in jeopardy most likely (it will depend on the circumstances). However there's absolutely no reason to be looking to sack the CEO as well. If Sparks starts letting City down with his appointments and decision making, and he starts hurting the club, fine, consider his position - but we do NOT need to be changing CEO twice a season like we've been doing with our managers, because that will get us absolutely nowhere.

I'll certainly be keeping tabs on Ryan's progress, but his job is not under consideration IMHO unless there are serious issues like with Edin. It's the manager's job to guide this club to promotion; it's Ryan's to employ the best candidates to guide us to promotion, and I think we all feel he's done a pretty good job in his first REAL appointment.

For me Sparks has done well in his first year, in very difficult circumstances. Although I have been critical in the past, Stefan Rupp has shown he is willing to back the club to repair the damage and move it forward again. He would have been very easy for him to write off BCAFC, but to his word he is funding to right the wrongs of that charlatan who doesn’t deserve another mention.

Now Julian Rhodes is away from the club’s day to day decisions we will hopefully see the club progress.

Cheers Stefan & Ryan, up the chickens, but if we are not 20 points clear at the top by Christmas, you are all shite again and need to get out of VP...

 

Contrary to how it appeared in the media, Sparks didn't offer McCall the 1 year contract extension, it was Rhodes.

 

McCall wasn't his appointment and T&S didn't fail at all, they did what was asked of them... Obtaining a playoff spot from where they started would have been a minor miracle. Sparks could easily have given them a full season to run at it next year but he was strong in his conviction that Adams is better placed to push for promotion next season. Admittedly, the shocking drop of form at the end made the decision much easier for Sparks.

 

I don't think T&S failed, but the change is 100% the right call. The McCall decisions - both hiring him last season and the new contract were wrong, but fair play to Sparks for correcting the mistakes quickly. That takes strong leadership.

He needs this one to be right though.

 

As you say recorded Wednesday as Ryan mentions watching the Italy-Spain game last night, and that was played Tuesday night.
A cracking find @StaffordBantam, as usual he makes so much sense going forward.

 

Looks like he’s at a fancy hotel in London currently, maybe meeting Rupp ?

 

Where have you seen that @Bantam Begins, I think he mentioned Stefan was trying to get the all clear to attend the Oldham home game.

 

Or he has tickets for Sunday
