A clever move mate as Gordon Gibb knew at the time, I'd suggest many of the grounds owned by other individuals who have invested in new stadia would fair far better than Gordon Gibbs if they had to sell, as we know the real estate down that area wouldn't have that much value on the open market.

 

Given its main use will be weekdays by the Muslim community, has anyone actually checked that it will be possible to sell alcohol in it ? If not its pointless and won't get used by fans. It has to compete with North Parade or there is no point having it.

 

I agree mate. With Peterborough I'm guessing it's easier to run the stadium seperately as it will be used most of the days of the year as a business venture. The football team merely a part of that. I do trust Sparks to do as much as he can with the limatations around him, such as the land restraints and budget.

 

A fair point that needs consideration in a multi cultural society. Sonny Bill Williams wouldn't even wear a shirt with alcohol sponsorship on it, they gave him a shirt with no logo. Not an easy solution when cultures clash.

 

I take your point but it isn’t a place of worship and it’s partly funded by the football foundation

 

And partly funded by muslim charities. They won't want alcohol stored on the premises.

It's not just the stadium, the site will have a tech centre, Anglia Ruskin University, all with the Councils support

 

I get the point that some people need alcohol, but actually you wouldn't need a Bradford City themed event in a community centre to sell beer.
