How do you explain the ball coming in from something like 40 yards, landing in the 6 yard box and the keeper not dealing with it?

 

Our inability to impose ourselves on poor sides is a worry.

The reality is, we need an awful lot more work to be promotion ready

47th, 48th, 49th minute of this second half (and now in the 50th minute) O'Donnell has had the ball and kicked it long and they've won a bouncing ball and attacked. Ridiculous.

 

Some managers instruct keepers not to come for it. Not saying we do that as I can’t claim to know but it’s not uncommon.
The same reason you apply to keepers, why can our defence not clear it if it’s travelled that far? Either a flick away behind for a corner or head it away? We are crap from those set pieces. It’s been happening for weeks

 

Why the hell are we launching high balls to Cook when the big journeyman centre half wins EVERY ball

 

Is O’Donnell the new target for fans? Don’t get it. he must be instructed to go long? And if he’s not why’s the managers not berating him?

 

Our points of view come from a different direction but I think ultimately end in the same place = poor defending (GK and Defenders). In my opinion it starts with the keeper and wasn’t so much as a problem when Hornby was playing, but you see it from the defenders side.

Either way, it’s not great is it??
