O’Donnell again. Sorry but Hornby is the stronger of the two at the moment. He manages his area so much better and communicates and controls those in front of him. If OD can’t manage the cross then he has to own his defence and instruct them what to do.

If you pause that free kick as the ball comes in O'Donnell comes out about 4 yards thinks about coming further then stops and back pedals and was never going to stop a header from the edge of the six yard box.

 

Got off to a good start and then predictably sat back as usual and invited the pressure. Colchester deserve to be level at least and have created the better opportunities by far. Really poor tactics yet again.

I don't think it's an excuse. If a free kick from that area hits your 6 yard box, its the keepers all day long.

Look what happened today. Cook jumped for a header, their keeper was late to jump, then hardly jumped but jumped into Cook and fell down and the ref gave him a free kick!

Jon, the defenders never win every header. That's why a combination is needed. If the keeper never comes then it's all down to the defenders which isn't right.

 

Was it cousin-Dawson who lost him?
