Are you serious, "Get the best out of Evans".
He needs to be shown where the interchange is and, get on any bus or train to take him as far away from Bradford as possible.
Hope SM gets a managerial position and takes Evans and Clarke with him.

Indeed, had too many passengers in the last few seasons and it costs us. Need Bullock and co to do their utmost to proceed with caution...and no more 'free' passes!

I didn't say i'd play him, the fact he's here for another season suggests they are going to have to find a position for him that gets the best out of him. Personally i agree with you, the only real role i see for him is a Will Atkinson type fill a gap because of injury type role. Because he ain't a central midfielder and he's never a 10 as yesterday showed. If we are to go up we need better.

Fordy will be telling you that's exactly why we are we're we are, and for once, he would have a point.
We are in league 2 FFS, the very least of expectations should be that until it is mathematically impossible, we bust a gut to do everything we can to get out of the right end of this league. Yes, the odds have been against that happening all season, but that doesn't mean it is impossible and it doesn't mean we should just throw in the towel and give up when a couple of games don't go our way. Yesterday felt very much like that is what has happened though. I expect the players to have the desire to win every single game they play, at least whilst there is something still left to play for. That fighting spirit and togetherness we saw at the end of the Bolton game seems to have disappeared, and you are saying we should just accept that because we've been rubbish for years?

Well there has been a major shift in thinking then. Up until recently the mantra was that we go out to win every game.

I don't get that feeling personally. Yesterday was not much different to the last 5 games in terms of our conservative approach.

Agree, if Cooke is the player who makes us tick with regards the preferred formation and is out for the foreseeable future then we have to change the formation to suit the starting11 at Scunthorpe, thats what managers have to do, it's not unique to T&S, and if as some are suggesting "we've been found out" which I disagree with, then the new formation may cause the opposing manager an early problem.

I suggested this before the Oldham game.

Go 4 4 2 and get Rowe or Samuels alongside Cook.

If we have to sacrifice Vernam or Crankshaw (or both) and have more disciplined wide players to help out the CM's then so be it. Its not as if one or either is tearing it up at the minute anyway and if needed we can throw them on for pace off of the bench.

Sorry, not Samuels, the other young striker we got on loan who hasn't played either.

Romarn Burrell from 'Boro? I think he's still with us on loan but doesn't seem to be getting a look in.

Aye that's him. He was supposed to be highly rated and a step up from Samuels but we've seen nothing of him so far.

I'm at a loss to understand why we brought him into the club on a loan and he doesn't even merit a place on the bench. He was supposedly well regarded at 'Boro and as a 19/20 year old played a few times in their U23 Dev squad. And despite his pace and movement he doesn't even make it onto the bench at VP. Bizarre.

I can only assume the lad looks poor or disinterested in training. Middlesbrough would do well to recall him and give him games in their development squad, because it is wasting everyone's time him being here

I don’t think the managers dare leave Cook or Rowe out of the match day squad. To play in their preferred formation you need a player with nouse and they obviously don’t feel he has that just yet.

I think crankshaw particularly would make a great impact sub. I think having one of crankshaw and vernam on the pitch with a more disciplined guy on the other side works well but both crankshaw and vernam have to show more end product for me. i feel like a lot of our attacking issues are down to poor decision making on the ball in dangerous areas rather than the formation being wrong or found out, although teams are definitely wise to us now. I also think its worth looking at playing different formations in and out of posession, i.e 4-4-2 on the ball, 4-5-1 without it. would need hard running from a few guys but I don't think that's beyond us.

No need to change a tried and tested system because of a couple of bad games
