I agree, but even saying that, any discussion around our managers automatically involves Ryan.

Thats true. He only needs to say initially until the end of the season it that would lead to question in late March/April. I suppose if he confirms their appointment then focus can go back onto the team.

 

Employ a comms person or a director of football. I think he hinted a this.

 

Despite all the negative responses from the appointment of Sparks as CEO, I think we have a good man at the helm, a brilliant listen and compared to Rhodes who refused to engage with the public a breath of fresh air. Hopefully he will be at City for a while but I suspect he is very ambitious and will move on sometime in the next few years as Baldwin did.

You set up a thread ridiculing Sparks from the outset but when things go well... more faces than the town hall clock.

 

I thought it was a good listen. I think Sparks comes across very well in interviews like this - which you'd expect from someone with a PR and comms background. Having a younger and ambitious CEO could end of being a very good thing.

Not that I think Rupp is going anywhere soon, but I think DMAC and Sparks could be a very good combination; there was a good rapport between the two, I think both have a reasonably similar outlook on how to take clubs forward and I think increasingly we'll look to adopt a similar model to Peterborough in terms of generating revenue through player sales. I think DMAC has a soft spot for us too.

Look Bradford City was failing at the start of the season. Beating bloody Morecame and it's like things are going well? Have some standards. We were never going down.

I'll judge us next season as that seems to be the talking point but this season is failure no matter what now!

I want to see more off the pitch development now.

 

Not sure DMAC and Sparks would work well together at all.

DMAC seems to have control of his club in all areas hence why he is the owner and CEO of the club.

Sparks is the CEO but might as well be the owner because our owner seems not to be involved with the club.

I think they would clash!

DMAC does have soft spot for us it seems because I believe he thinks we are sleeping giant and he would love to wake us up.

Sparks is ticked skinned. I give him credit as he wanted to be a CEO of a football club by 30 and hes done that. He will leave Bradford City because he is driven. He knows next season is it or hes gone. He's no fool but lets not get excited yet.

If we really thought we were the sleeping giant he says then i'd expect a healthy sized queue of potential buyers. Yet there isn't one and never has been. This idea of a sleeping giant is a myth.

 

With regards your comment above we know Darragh is the real deal and has a bob or two, not sure about your other example.
