Firstly, I’m not getting carried. Secondly though, I’ll happily eat a small few words when I wrote off most of our squad a few weeks ago. They have a hell of a lot to prove, but the past two games some of them look completely different. Unfortunately this maybe speaks more so to how bad things were under Stuart.

Though Sutton was very good today. Played the role we’ve been badly missing this season. Love to see more of this from him. His words this weeks were interesting and hope these are steps towards us seeing what he’s really all about.

Simple changes and playing to player strengths is what the temporary coaches have installed. Really hope we bring a permanent replacement who takes notice and doesn’t try to be too tricky.

 

Just shows the difference, McCall wanted to be mates with the players, The players wanted someone who knew what they were doing,

 

We had all written this squad off ages ago. You were not alone. Now they are playing like new signings. Anything to do with a new manager coming in do you think?

 

Noticing quickly that French isn't good enough at this level. That is key!

French never looks like he is doing anything wrong but his overall game just isn't good enough.

Training under Stuart , was very limted in both time and tatics. Can not name my source, but it is someone very close to the club.

 

Also one of Prithard's comment's was "all of us know we let let Stuart down a bit" now don't let us fans down we saw from today performance you'll fight for the shirt long may it continue with another positive result at Grimsby and 3 more points.

It was obvious to most people what was wrong, all bar one person, alas the one in charge.

 

That's unfair mate.

We've two inexperienced managers in now and yes we have had two fairly decent results for us.

The problem with McCall was clear in the fans forum and Sparks was on it. McCall sounded like he was trying too hard to prove himself as top manager and he just came across as massive worry. Saying things like"Not many leaders about" "We can play different formations" "Watched on my Ipad"..

McCall just tried too hard and had the wrong owner.

 

Noticed that Trueman has also dropped BRE and DMH entirely from the match day squad. Didn’t take him long to figure out that they simply aren’t good enough whereas McCall continued to persist with the pair despite churning out performances a National League team would feel embarrassed about.

 

just a shame it took others too long to realize McCall wasnt the man we needed.

 

He was stubborn and lacked ability, He was far to friendly with the players, Players are not stupid they know when the leader is a duffer, No matter what they said in public it must have been a relief to them, You can see the change in them

 

And no sign of BRE or DMH.

 

I said Cambridge were poor. For a team in 6th they were poor.

Look, we did better. Lets not make out we were like Barca of 2015 or something.

We were more organised but the problems are clear and we need a decent new manager in.

 

Sorry mate cant agree, as another poster said, trying too hard isn’t picking DMH up front. McCall just didn’t have what it takes, nothing to do with the owners or how hard McCall was or wasn’t trying. Blinkered manager more like.
