Strangely the only area of Yorkshire which is not in Tier 3 includes the constituency of Rishi Sunak.

    Pure coincidence...;)
The same coincidence that puts London in tier 2.

London with a higher r rate than Manchester in a lower tier. It really is disgusting and just frustrating how all this is allowed to happen. :@/:@/

I don't think they are using the R rate though as it is an estimate rather than the number of actual cases

    Fair enough. How’s about Doncaster - 244 cases per 100,000 people - tier 3.

    Havering (London) - 343 cases per 100,000 people - tier 2.

Isn’t it the rate over the whole area rather than bits of it? Otherwise Baildon North could be Tier 1 and Baildon Sputh Tier 3

Hospital capacity is also a factor on tier allocation

That's what I picked up on an interview. That South's Hospitals are not under pressure.

Chatting with the nurses when I spent a few days in LGI a week or so back. They have plenty of physical beds but not enough staff to service then. Big shout out though. They were doing an excellent job in very trying circumstances, as I'm sure they always do.

I hear Chris Rea has just sold his car to @Fordy117@Fordy117 as he doesn’t see any point this year.

I am expecting the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the UK regulator) to sign off the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine this week, with an immediate commencement of the vaccination programme. The Moderna and Oxford-AstraZeneca ones shouldn't be too far behind either.

You’re cherry picking. They’ve clearly gone for a simplified regional approach this time. Not everything is a pro-London stitch up.

Wales showing the issue with a circuit breaker lockdown, everything has opened back up and had to shut straight back down again. The circuit hasn't been broken at all.

Not surprising given the mass ignoring of the rules.

We need tighter enforcement, not tighter rules.

Working in Flint at the moment (key worker). The hotel where we are working is very thorough with temperature checks every time we come back in.Bar closes on the dot every night. There’s 5 of us so have to use 2 tables to eat.Unfortunately this can’t be said for the rest of North Wales that we are working in.Doesnt seem to be any different from the stories you read about in the press every day.
