There's not a manager in the world who is going to get a load goals out of Clarke, Donaldson, DMH and the kid. I think we all know that is a fact.

We'd basically be gambling on the next guy producing a goal scorer from his own backside and polishing it up with a scouring pad and some bleach.

However, Stuart is still saying all the wrong things. His assessment of this squad was way off, and I'd be inclined to give him longer if he clearly recognised that and was exhausting all options to remedy the fact. But he's not.

I'm not sure what Stuart can achieve here in the short term. I'm not sure what he will achieve in January, either, and if he's going to stay until the Summer, I'm not sure he recognises mediocre from awful enough to pull the trigger on these buffoons.

We need a coach to come in that likes his team's to play footie, but with a settled strategy, formation and tactics to build to, unlike Stu, who just wants to work with whatever is available.

If anyone thinks to mention Cowley, give your head a shake in advance, and please refrain.

Or they see that sacking yet another manager is not a good move right now? Doesn't mean they are in love with Stuart.

It was mentioned elsewhere that when he was asked this last night he seemed to lose his rag and batted it back with “what would you do”.that’s not a very grown up response.Hes the manager of a professional football club.Got to expect tough questions especially when your team is really struggling.

Depending on who you ask, but that debate is done to death.

He has definitely had three of them sign contracts, yes.

True - its why I would love to hear why he thinks he should get 18 months and what changes he is going to make to get us out of the current shambles. He came as near as he has done last night to saying some of these players wont be part of his plans if he is still in charge but (quite rightly) didnt name names publicly. He said its not good enough so I would just like to know what plans he has (if he is given the chance)

Bowyer had Doyle and Vaughan, fell out with both within half a season and we got stuck with bloody Guthrie. Blame Stuart all you want but the slide started before he came in. Bowyer was well backed financially and Stuart has been left with the mess. Like I said the worse players in this team were players he inherited.

Wrong. Stuart gave Staunton his debut in his last spell and French was loaned out last season, Stuart gave him his chance this season and it's worked.

Hence why I said most of the best players he either brought in OR gave a chance to ie Staunton falls into that category. And Clarke he brought in. On the other hand most of the worst players in the squad this season he inherited (motley Henry aside who isn't a footballer).

Watt, Clarke and cooke are good enough to be in a team fighting at the right end of the league. Dmh was a very bad move. Samuel's signing screams "we don't have much money". We need to get the crap out that he i inherited like BRE, Guthrie, Donaldson is now past it also. Like I said it isn't a quick fix. How many manager can we keep going through?

Bowyer getting the blame for this? Come on. That’s baffling.
Let’s front it up as it is. This seasons failing is down to McCall and the people who delivered the window
We had so much time and got it wrong. McCall had a long time to plan his squad and still got it wrong. His tactics are woeful.

A lot of people seem to be commenting on this 18 months thing but is that not what he wanted in total? So he took over in February and his contract will be 18 months? From what I heard of his interview he wants his full 18 months to be what he is judged on. Ie he’s gonna turn it around

How long would you give the next manager? A season? A transfer window?

From the mess of the season before, from the mess of the season before that. There is a fundamental problem with how we are setting ourselves up

well, stats of course can be open to interpretation, but the general mood on here seems to be that PP was the architect of the most recent BCAFC golden era. How long did he get to achieve the play offs, the cup run? Slightly less than 5 years with the club. The average tenure of managers since he left is 53 months / 7. I make that less than 8 months each. We're in the shit. I'm no expert in these things, so anybody else think these things connected?

After the first season which was a battle against relegation it was upward progress over 5 years

Didn’t parky deliver play offs and league cup final in his first full season?

Unfortunately the same old cracks are there that show he is a guy we respect but not a convincing long term option to take the club forward.

We were crying out for a Gary Jones or Andrew Davies type to lead us, and he made a fancy Dan Goalie our Captain.

Watt, do me a favour he has been a real let down. Sutton, loose cannon, that relegation rivals and second bottom team Scunny released. Our seasons signings were underwhelming.

We’ve not stabilised under McCall, we’re going backwards, and are rolling out the hard luck stories like sure fire relegation fodder.

If no league wins in next two home games a tough decision surely has to be taken because we can’t carry on like this.

Come on Rhodes if you believe in this man come out and publicly support him, you could call it the dreaded vote of confidence, but this wall of silence from those in charge does nothing to help galvanise a broken/hurting club and it’s supporters.

Your last point is spot on, communication from the club is absolutely dire.
