Rupp, for all his faults, has not shown a reluctance to sack managers. McCall might think it will be all fine and dandy come May and that there is nothing to worry about, but ultimately if Rupp disagrees then McCall's opinion counts for very little.

Like when I was listening to Brad on the radio I sometimes feel like we'll deserve what we get.

There can't be another club in the land who would sit 20th in League Two and be so blasé about the managers job just because of what he did as a player. Defies belief.

Rupp, or Rahic? I can't see Rupp actually recommending that we fired anyone when he wasn't even watching. He might have signed off on them.

When even aspects of Rahic's approach are being held up as better than what we're doing now, you know you're f*****d.

We sacked Bowyer the week that we dropped out of the playoffs didn't we? I'd honestly be surprised if it was Rhodes that was the mastermind behind that idea.

    Really?

Reconsider: we've reduced the wage bill by inadequately replacing Vaughan and Doyle, the window is shut so no fears there, Bowyer is unpopular and we've got season tickets to sell - arise Sir Stuart.

That doesn't remotely smack of a Rhodes decision to you?

    Really? Like what?

Rahic was the worst thing that ever happened to this club, the only positive coming out his tenure was that it was short.

He didn't make a single correct decision, and his plan was pap.

I was referring to the post above which remarked that ‘at least Rahic wasn’t afraid to sack managers’. It was tongue in cheek. Rahic was a disaster.

The principles of his plan were sound - he was just never going to be capable of deploying them correctly.

    Got you.

    Sorry.

    I thought I'd missed something.

I hated the principles of his plan very early on, particularly revisiting the idea of a lower league development squad. The players are bad enough without signing a raft of others who aren't ready for first team football.

Someone at the club basically has to be strong enough to call a meeting with Stuart, tell him that results and overall performances haven't been good enough, the league position is a disaster, and ask him what's going to change.

If he says this lot are good enough and that we'll turn it round with hard work, I'd personally sack him there and then because that's not a plan and it's definitely not true with far too many in our squad.

That's more or less what Jamie Raynor said to him on Radio Leeds.

I think that was more or less Stuart's reply.

There’s only 2 people who can do that.
1 who doesn’t seem interested and the other is the one who gave him the job based on his ability to sell tickets and nothing else

Stuart needs to put some serious thought into how to answer those questions in that case... Crikey.

He can’t.He gets wound up too quickly if the questions in any way doubt his methods.

Yes, if we look only at this third spell, then the record is down there with the worst. A 26% win rate coupled with a 47% loss rate puts him about level with Law and Jeffries, though they did it over more matches. Small mercies, but in terms of permanent managers it's still better than what Robson, Hopkin, Yorath, PA Jackson, Veitch, Grayson, and Hutchings achieved. But we are trying to differentiate between degrees of awfulness here!

There's no way to put a positive spin on this.

When Jamie Raynor first asked him what he would do to turn this around, McCall very defensively batted the question back to Jamie and asked him what he would do, fair play to Jamie he asked him again and didnt get drawn in.

Sorry, but that sums McCall up at the moment, he genuinely doesn't know what to do, does he.

It’s the easy out isn’t it.”Well what would you do”.Shows a massive weakness when you can’t answer a question that you must have known was coming.

Great bloke, club legend, but increasingly out of his depth. The ‘this will be my last job in England’ quote says it all, too right it will after this.

Please just do the decent thing and go now Stuart.

The big question is who should come in that could get these group of players to perform?
Is it risky to keep McCall who knows them or riskier to replace McCall with someone who doesn’t
