Three years of crap when will it end

I've had a re-read of Rhodes T&A interview lasts month. Quite honestly, with his mindset, its no wonder that we're in the position we're in.

Isn’t the biggest worry that the new CEO whenever he does start is a Rhodes clone.After all Rupp is still the owner and all major appointments will have to be sanctioned by him.He is not going to appoint some maverick with radical ideas like spending money,transfer structures,scouting systems etc.While he is the one with the purse strings I cannot see the major running of the club changing dramatically anytime soon.

 

Why does Rupp own us? What's he wanted to gain out of the club?

Keep on tell you all Rupp needs to go and hes worse than Edin but many of you won't listen.

 

Nobody knows the answers to those questions cos when the going gets a bit tough they go very quiet.The silence from the top recently has been deafening.

 

I've said this before but I don't think he bought us as an investment to make money. Just my opinion by I think he bought us as the ultimate "boys toy". Something none of his wealthy mates had. I do however think he is an honourable man and therefore hasn't bailed (although it may also partly be him trying to minimise his loss) Like I say just my opinion.

 

Agreed, I've mentioned it before.

If your boss is pretty much telling you that he's happy to accept plodding along and mediocrity then how many people, hand on heart, are going to put the extra in just to pick up the same wage?

Ambition, desire and especially drive has to start at the very top so ask yourself, has Rupp or Rhodes shown us any sign of this offer the latest few years of decline?

Edin was rightly hammered for his role in all this but at least he had the b0ll0cks to be visible and stood up to be counted when the flak was flying. Imo, these two cowards steering clear of anything remotely like communication probably makes them even worse.

 

Does he not know football is played on the pitch and with our current team he very soon won't have any financial matters to attend to we are going down at this rate
You can only cut so much from budgets before you start cutting yourself

I watched something on Bury last night and Dale the owner said he has no interest in football. Rupp has no interest in football. The club has started this weird kind of politics thing that it never can be in the wrong.

What makes you think Rupp is a honourable man? What do you know about him? It's seems clear that he got Edin to sign a confidentiality agreement with his pay off.

 

Only being honest.Genuinely worried that the club is on a rapid downward spiral that will only be halted with a new owner.In my opinion a new CEO under the same owner won’t change much.Dont know many business owners that let the day to day running of their firm(and their money)be done by people with a massively different mindset to their own.Dont want the club that I have followed for years to go down the toilet.

 

I know no more about him than anyone else and was just expressing an opinion. I do not think he is deluded enough to think he is going to realise anything like his original investment, but appears to be continuing to support the club financially, albeit via interest free loans

 

Was Edin paid off?

 

Is he supporting the club? Really?

The money he is putting in is to protect his investment.

As for him being deluded enough to think he won't get anything back than his original investment then you have to ask you he got involved with us.

 

I believe so.

 

But there is no guarantee it will protect his investment.
Like I said, and its its purely my opinion, he got involved as some sort of ego trip, none of his mates owned a football club. That said I am sure he never expected his investment to plummet in the way it has. Bradford City now is a very different prospect to the one he purchased.....and I am not for one minte suggesting he is blameless

 

Can't we get Boris Johnson in as the new CEO

The club is tailor made for him - devoid of talent and ability, with the occasional "yes man", and all previous talent sidelined elsewhere

At least we could have a U-turn or two - which is more than the current squad are collectively capable of

 

Boris Johnson is an idiot.

 

I very much doubt it, the tale was he'd borrowed money from Rupp to purchase his % of the club, I would think he's lucky to get away without prosecution with regards what he did with the funds to run the club.
Like him or not Julian said he knew we were in a bad way but he didnt realise just how bad until he took over from Rahic.

 

I now what you mean over 50 years myself and not even going to consider the financial outlay !!
The club is already on a rapid downward spiral we had the "cushion" of being relegated to L2 that doesn't exist now another relegation and we are gone
Am clinging to the hope a new CEO will start to halt the decline however hopeful it may seem
Mr Rupp is a shrewd business man his reported wealth shows that he has other successful companies in his portfolio why not Bradford City if only he would avail his plans for the club we may get a bit more confidence in that respect he and Mr Rhodes are ideally suited
If rumours are to be believed that he offered to put more money into the club and was told " not needed" can only be a good sign it must make him wonder what's going on with our current form
In no way am I defending Mr Rupp I think his major failing has been the people he has entrusted to run the club maybe just maybe the new CEO will awaken his interest in his investment and kick start a revival as well as protecting his investment 3rd time lucky !!!!

 

Julian would think going to the shop and buying a mars bar you will be in a bad way hence why we don't move forward under him.
