    The next three games is a good an opportunity to correct the malaise that has become apparent, given the very poor form and results.

    Southend, Tuesday 3rd November at Valley Parade. Rock bottom of the division, no wins and only two draws in the league. Apparently sorted out their financial problems last week, but no ‘feel good’ bump for them on Saturday, when they lost at home.

    Tonbridge Angels, Saturday 7th November. A 12.30 kick off and live on TV. A true David V Goliath match, they finished 15th in the National League South last season. In reality if we cannot beat this lot, then it says a hell of a lot (although I remember us struggling against Aldershot two seasons ago). Extra time and then penalties, so no prospect of a replay at VP. Lot of money to be gained and a victory would be 90 minutes from the third round.

    Oldham Athletic, Tuesday 10th November at VP. The much unloved EFL Trophy. So far City unbeaten in this cup in open play. Oldham are at best an unstable club, with senior players being told to train with the juniors, and a Moroccan Football agent Club owner, who is ‘interesting’. Oldham have nothing to play for, city could progress to the next round.

    On paper all these games are winnable. Arguably the ‘softest’ three games in the whole season.

    Unless there are positive results, then the already loud discontent is only likely to grow. This is McCall’s window of opportunity to stop the rot and create a platform to progress. Failure will only increase the existing pressure.

    Mate, we won 1 game in 6 games..Make it 7 if you include the mickey mouse cup.

    In them 7 we played Wolves under 21's, Harrogate, Walsall and Newport at home. Barrow, Bolton away.

    So, now we look at the next 3 games? Now would be the perfect time to sack McCall if I am honest and get the manager in for these so called winnable games.

    We just can't keep making excuses for failure.

    Who would you suggest as the new manager then ??
    Stuart not doing anyone any favours at the minute least of all himself
    Finding a new manager to work under Messrs Rhodes/ Sparks won't be easy
    But go on throw us a name or two

    Mate, I don't like throwing names in the hat but honestly we need to stop being cheap.

    If we want a manager at another club then we should pay the compo.

    The vision of the club needs selling and that has to come from the new CEO. Sparks needs to stay away from all talks and concentrate on marketing.

    If we don't start to improve and pick up form in the next 3 games, god help us in the 3 after that (Exeter, Salford and Orient).

    You think now would be a perfect time to sack McCall, but want the vision of the club selling to the new manager by the new CEO that isn't in post yet?

    So like me you have no idea on a new manager who would want to come
    Not many have clue either you are right we need to stop taking the cheap option and do things properly if that involves compensation then so be it
    Ever thought that the marketing and CEO job could be done by the same person we are all about saving a bob or two you know :unsure::unsure:

    There we go. We have been down that route before the next time we appoint a new manager let’s do it right with no preconceived ideas. Speak to as many people as possible to find the right one

    Am sure you are right speak to as many as possible but you would struggle with that Park
    Can't see many even contemplating turning up for an interview to a club that has a chairman who doesn't know the first thing about football possibly a new CEO and a team that has fallen apart and like the club needs a complete re build on a less than shoestring budget any manager worth his salt would run a mile.

    We're gonna have to do, if McCall does go theres no lazy option to dial in the contacts book. We might just have to do things properly for once.
