if he says anything even close to "we looked at how we could hurt them" and that was hoofing the ball to three centre-halfs then he's further gone than even I thought - these were non league last season, today was absolute bread and butter for them.

 

how do we know he didn't tell the players to keep it on the deck. The problem is the midfield and strikers rarely show for the ball, our defenders get pressured and have no alternative other than hoof

 

The manager isn't the problem that needs to be solved.

but the manager put the squad together and sets his team up.. or are we now advocating for boardroom interference?

 

I'm not saying the manager is immune from criticism. But its clear to me that our problems stretch beyond McCalls tenure and his remit. Look at Rhodes interview; the mandate for the season was clear. Every aspect of this club is underperforming. The direction of the club, the plan and funding behind it start with the owner and CEO.

isn't there something like £300k+ left in the budget for this season? get rid of McCall and go give Newport £200k for Michael Flynn whilst there's still time to turn this around.

 

You may misunderstand me. I'm not supporting mccall for the role. I dont think hes right. I'm saying that our rebuild has to start higher. It goes deeper.

 

i don't disagree - what you should have said then is that the manager isn't the only problem that needs to be solved.. as it's becoming clearer all the time that he is a problem at the moment.
