I think that certain people are using the excuse that McCall's contract is up at the end of the season so indeed of getting rid of him its lets depart on good terms way...Bollocks!

If it would be any other person they would be getting judged on results and sacked, fans will be wanting him out if not meeting standards.

I fully understand about the CEO but what happens if we go the awful route and hire Ryan? Then what?

We can't just wait for a change in CEO. A manager still has a job to do and if he isn't doing it well then he needs to go.

I don't want SM to be sacked, I just want him to get a settled team that works to our limited ability and makes us hard to beat. Right now we are the polar opposite to that.

Out of interest why would Ryan be a bad CEO?

Because we need a complete change at the top. Fresh eye. Fresh blood. Not a lazy appointment within.

I know he's your little mate because you spoke once but let him just stay in the position he is in.

I hope Rhodes expresses better judgment with his successor as CEO than he has with his record of managers or we will really be in trouble!!
Imagine a carbon copy of Rhodes been appointed :eek2::mad::OO:

I'm still really confused about why Rupp has told Rhodes to hang fire on appointing him. If Rhodes has identified his replacement, what is the point in delaying things any further?

please god no, being a marketing and pr guru doesnt make you a shoe in CEO.

Id hope they would open up applications and appoint whoever is the best applicant.

Indeed. I recall Ryan's remark during Grimsbygate. He said that he'd heard or read somewhere that we'd be awarded three points because Grimsby had defaulted on the game. No! If he has any intention of becoming CEO, he shouldn't be relying on what he heard or what he'd read 'somewhere'. That's what fans do on social media. Instead he'd be better to establish the facts by either asking the club secretary or by reading the EFL Regulations (there'll be a copy somewhere collecting dust within the club) and to read the section on Fixtures. It's Section 5. My opinion is that any aspiring CEO without a detailed knowledge of EFL regs would read it carefully to understand the EFL's position. The EFL Regs are quite clear on what happens in a league game when one club doesn't fulfil its fixture. Awarding points to the opposition doesn't come into it wherever he heard it.

After hearing his post match interview I'm not sure he can, twice now he has commented we lost the game because of his planning, I'm with you keep it simple they are league two players play the same system as and when possible picking the players he thinks are best for the system/formation.

I will support our manager no matter who that may be but Bolton is a big game another defeat with an inept performance and questions have to be asked.

I believe most can accept a defeat it's the way we've lost that has to be questioned.

Maybe Rupp has finally decided he needs
to start making some decisions himself?

We know he's not a football man but he is
a successful business man and if he realises
the club are going nowhere,he may decide to
try install a better infrastructure that might
get us moving in the right direction even if
    it's to just attract buyers?

If that was the case, surely that would have been the explanation given. Saying Rupp had asked him to wait until appointing him is a different matter altogether.

I don't get the impression Rupp has said no to the person Rhodes has identified, just that he has asked him to wait a while before handing over to him. If he's the right man for the job, I don't see what a further delay is going to achieve, other than the risk that said person will get fed up waiting and possibly go elsewhere/change their mind.

Its a difficult season for everyone, and the players are missing the big crowds at Valley Parade, think on, most of the teams we are playing only play in front of a few thousand, so it doesnt bother them as much as our players. After saying that I think the team has been playing really badly ALL this season. Too much chopping and changing, keep the same side and formation, but, the problem is defence, its terrible, and O'Donnell is awful, no pace up front, I though Samuels was fine yesterday ran into space, but no .one gave him the ball, then hes taken off Sacking McCall isnt the answer, he needs to see the season out. But it is very hard work watching them now, even worse than the last two seasons, and that was bad enough

Can't put it any better than that. I'll except losing to the better team, at the moment our team are the equivalent of a horse in a handicap carrying extra weight due to poor recruitment and strategy.

Good point you made there about Samuels running into space then not getting the ball the same thing was happening to Hosanna on Tuesday night. It's a basic football tactic pass the ball and find space but it seems a big problem for City players.
