Yet again you make no sense!

So, you want to keep a manager until the end of the season that you think isn't good enough and hope to prove you wrong? So as a club we will just waste a bloody season.

Can't just give managers a season to prove themselves. Let's not forget this is his 3rd go. He knows the club better than any other manager out there and should know what's required.

If a manager isn't getting results and can't take us forward he needs to go no matter who he is. NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB!

Can't you see that the constant merry go round of managers is part of the problem, not the solution?

No, the problem is Rupp and Rhodes. Rhodes is the major problem.

You can't have a manager that's not good enough just running the club. Where is that going to get us? Makes no sense!

And that issue is down to those who constantly change the manager because of their own bad appointment. As we've seen, a new manager usually leads to a clear out of the previous managers squad and tactics and there is very little continuity of approach. That's where our club (and others) imo has gone wrong over the years.

Failure of the manager is not wholly down to the manager himself we have had some unmittigated disasters since Parky saw the light Grayson Hopkin Collins Bowyer all barely lasted a couple of years between them
All of the above were convenient at the time and virtually fell into place (remember Bowyers single handed first press conference he looked like he had just wandered in off the street "Billy No Mates")
Stuart is a better coach/motivator than a manager as he would himself admit that and should stay in place until we get new owners/ceo they are holding us back more than the current manager maybe then under structured stewardship we could better judge him

Come on Steve he’s had enough chances to prove his worth . It’s the same old story , he simply isn’t a good football manager . We’ve tried and tried again and even tried again and it’s still clear too see where going know where with stuart in charge

The issue we've had is NOT allowing managers the time to do a clear out and stamp their authority.

That's what happens when we sack and appoint AFTER every transfer window...

    Agree entirely
Was thinking more of an assistant manager/coach position under new leadership
He is an excellent motivator of players but tactically naive at best

Any new manager that comes to a club has to work with the players the previous regime have brought to the club.
First time around Stuart had several players at the club recruited by Parky good honest pros who weren't just good league one footballers but good characters, unfortunatly this time round he was left a bunch of crap (bar one or two), i would hope after his return he identified what was required for the coming season, then came Covid and the salary cap that may have curtailed some of the players he identified, some may say excuses but no one bar those involved at the club know or sure.
So for me any manager needs at least a season to get his type of player in and drill them to what is expected of them, 4 games into a new season is IMO a little to soon to make a call on a managers rein, even given that very poor home performance against Harrogate.

Well if the EFL are daft enough to take this new deal that's something we wont need to worry about in the future ;).

Fair comment Dave am not suguesting Stuart goes just has an alternative roll
Can't comment on the 2 new guys but not overly inspired with his signings so far eg DMH
Let's hope Harrogate was a blip rather than the norm

I think most question why he brought DMH back, I believe when Barnsley took him many questioned why, and we saw nothing in his few games last season or so this season to be fair, baffling signing.

Probably because we aren't playing a team as bad as Mansfield, worst team I've seen so far this season by some distance.

Donaldson way past his 'best before' date. But that's all we can expect in League 2
