McCall IN/OUT (with new Poll)

There hasn't been any direct 'support' but plenty of diversionary tactics. It's Rupps fault. It's Rhodes fault..... It's the players fault..... no mention of Teflon..... in many comments.

Cut the BS and give me straight answers on the following

1. Do you think McCall is a good manager?
2. Other than his name being McCall would he have got this job?
3. Is there another team in Div 2, Div 1 that would appoint him as their manager?
4. Does it look like he has done a good job of recruitment this post season?
5. If you owned Bradford City would you appoint him as the manager of your football club?

No obfuscating, I want clear, in your opinion, YES/NO answers.

PS. Yes I have an agenda. I want a manager appointed on ability not based on whether he once played for the club, is a bit of a legend, and takes the focus off the overall problems because there is a core of supporters that will never, ever criticise him. We talk constantly about the problems running through this club top to bottom. In my opinion the appointment of McCall is visible proof that there are problems at this club.

 

That's the point I was making, most offer a fair review of the games IMO some a little OTT, then we have the likes of yourself who rarely offer anything constructive with regards the club and certainly not McCall, and you say you have no agenda.

Dont you know as you get older your skin gets thinner, whereas you would be very thick skinned.

I think last night was just unacceptable. No agendas this club needs to get a bloody grip of itself. Get in the modern times and stop making excuses for failure!

I have NEVER said I did not have an agenda. I have ALWAYS been completely up front about this (I will let you trawl my posts) that I DO have an agenda and that is that McCall is a poor manager and should not be at this club in that capacity.

 

I think most of us probably want him to be our manager and succeed but deep down doubt that he will....

No, I don't think he is a good manager. He hasn't proven himself with us or any other team in the EFL to highlight this.

Yes, I would appoint him if I owned the club before Covid with a strategy of getting as many fans into the ground on cheap tickets like Rhodes does. McCall is a club legend and fans buy into that wanting him to do well so will buy tickets.

 

1, You can't give a simple yes or no to your 5 questions, like it or not there were reasons at the time when we need a quick fix/appointment, after Bowyer and I voiced it many times and the possible reasons behind his quick appointment, just the same with his appointment once Parky told Rahic where to stick his job, the owners didnt know any manager and Julian put McCalls name forward.

2. As above, a quick fix was required at the time most hoped McCall would be that fix.

3. I think if youd have given question 3 more thought you'd have had the answer, try Scunthorpe.

4. Let's review the signings after 4 games really, I'm sure you'll be around at Christmas time which will give us a far better idea, then you can ask me the question again, or maybe if we're there or there abouts you'll go AWOL.

5.No I wouldnt but then again since the two Germans took over there have been very few good decisions made by the owners, which IMO have caused the situation were in.
To finish was Grayson a good appointment, was the promotion of Collins from youth coach to first team coach a good appointment was bringing in Dave Hopkin a good appointment, was Bowyer a good appointment all on paper managers with a promotion on their CV.
The above suggests to me if Julian wanted his old buddy in then he would have appointed McCall rather than Bowyer wouldnt you ?.

 

Don't understand your comparison between @wetherbywhaler and FAFMN he'll have to answer that.
Apart from the first highlighted part with regards unacceptable the rest of your post is the usual ramblings.

The vast majority on here support the manager it's all a part of supporting Bradford City, last night was poor as many performances have been since McCall's departure in his second spell under Rahic, I don't see many making excuses for McCall hes getting criticised and rightly so, that's the difference they accept it was poor but will be 100% behind the manager during the next game are you behind the club and ultimately the manager.

McCall needs to be a technical director or develop the youth system, he's even admitted he prefers working on training ground. Get the Cowley's in, they'll suss us out straight away and get us going.
