Quite possibly, Tony. As I hear Bolton over the last few weeks are talked about in football circles in the same sentence as Bury!!
I have followed them on the forum and Bolton News since the days of PP. Currently they have rookie owners, lost their main funds weeks before the takeover and were bankrolled at that time by Nick Mason (Pink Floyd). Amazingly then sacked Keith Hill, who I thought they appointed in preparation for L2, because he failed to get enough points per game, of all things. They paid £250k compo to Barrow for this guy who in my view will be gone by mid October unless things improve and as others say last week (I was there), he looked a man under pressure, certainly the home people clearly expected to roll us over and got a shock which went down badly. "This is simply not good enough" comment overheard at HT and it got worse and goes through the club. Moaning mid week that Crewe had damaged the pitch in warm down and posting pictures is very poor.
Last Saturday Evatt took 70% of his interview with the Manchester Evening News defending Doyle who is on a mind boggling contract and so it goes.
My forecast is Admin by Christmas but the owner has taken first charge on the whole complex so she will be ok, having seen her in action, feel sorry for the fans as to what may come down the road.
On the other hand Fordy is always right so they could go up after all Evatt lost 6 of his first 8 at Barrow but then again the Colchester guys were forecasting Southend, Oldham, Stevenage and Bolton to be in big trouble soon so maybe Fordy is not right, who knows.

What has that to do with their current "form"? The way they are playing they will be lucky to get half of that.

 

It's funny how nobody is forecasting Bradford City will be in big trouble! Amazing that! When we look at others I don't think any league 2 is in a good position with no fans going back until next year.

As for Bolton it takes time! Bolton brought a lot of players and they need to settle plus as a team, a club they need to get use to Div 2 again. So like Plymouth last season Bolton will be slow starters but like Plymouth will go up. The issue for Bolton is their manager. He might not be good enough but as you say he will be sacked by new year if things not going right. Plymouth stuck by Lowe but you could see it was only a matter of time.

However, lets look at Bradford City. Is McCall right for us? He is for the crowd but hasn't proved himself yet.
Does our owner care? Well he's loaning the club money and hardly goes to games! So maybe, maybe not.
Is Rhodes driving the club forward? We own nothing! So make your own judgement on that.
Our Squad..This one is simple to answer! OUR SQUAD ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH! WE LACK PACE AND A DECENT FORWARD!

Before we look at others Bradford City is a shambles of a club and Bolton will go up. Bradford mid table at best.

Bolton might no into admin we will see but I like the insightful post and keep telling us about Bolton but Bradford need to address their own problems. How we ended up with Novak and Guthrie leading the line highlights the problems we have. If anyone thinks them two are good enough then they need to give their head a shake.

 

What do you mean get used to division 2 again? They've never been in this division. Go have a read of the comments Bolton fans are making about their side, their manager is starting look daft with his post match comments already. Instead of making bold statements he'd have been better off tempering expectations and telling fans to be patient. Might take them a season or two with 16 new recruits.

 

No need to read the comments mate. Played pre season games and us in a cup game. The real game was yesterday and yes they lost meaning the fans go crazy. Exception is high.

If what @wetherbywhaler is saying is true then Bolton can't wait a season or 2 or they will be in big trouble!

With 16 new recruits they will need time to gel. I said Bradford would beat them last week and that was the main reason why but on the opposite we had 14 contracted players and we look shi&e. So, lets see where Bolton are at come the New Year.

Bolton will finish about us. I like that their fans are demanding more! It's good! Unlike some on here defending the club when clearly its a club that's failing!

Weren’t they in it in the 80s? That’s what the EFL show said on Quest anyway, but who knows with them!

 

I'm wrong by one season by the looks of it. In our nearly season in 87/88 they had one season in division 4 and got promoted.
