On that note though the bantams bar has sold out I think. How much extra is it to sit in that?

 

Are we really pushing this this year? Nothing except the odd total post on social media? sparks more interested in getting back to the speedway. It should be everywhere! It would have been with Mason.

I think as a club we are waiting for the sales to be totalled and we will Go back to McCall and say he’s your budget. I guess we are still held back by some players from before the majority of high earners have now gone. I think McCall knows this and that’s why he’s playing it cute in the press. “Oh we just missed out on him” “oh he didn’t want to travel”.

I’ll change it to some upset people that have t renewed yet and have sat there for where

 

Bantams Bar has a capacity of 300 seats - availability was 130-150.

 

So we have now reached 7000 season tickets sold
Everyone who has bought one as of now should be allowed in to valley parade when safe to do so
City should scrap claret and banter if we sell less than 8000
Season ticket holders take priority

7,300 sold currently isn't too bad considering that its renewals only and I imagine there will be a few groups who decide they only need 1 ST for an iFollow pass.
The club needs to open it up to general sale (there's probably quite a few non local fans who would snap them up just for iFollow).
We've only got 9 days until the first game and really need to sell at least 10,000 probably more like 12,000 which is now going to be difficult. Would be interesting to know how other clubs are doing.

 

I agree with your open up to everyone asap but not sure why you say the highlighted, yes the more the better but I dont understand your need to sell 10/12,000 I could be wrong but I bet the club are happy with the way ticket sales are going in the present climate.

Well I'm guessing to some extent. I obviously don't know the details of the clubs finances.
Commercially - club seems to be doing OK and has renewed a number of deals, however I expect it is still down on normal
Matchday - could be losing £4-500k over the season on ticket sales (incl away fans)
Catering - don't know what the deal is but presumably this will be significantly reduced
Running costs - presumably we will save a bit here, fewer stewards / policing on match days etc.

At 10,000 ST sales someone says that works out at £1.1m. That's not much at all and doesn't even cover the first team squad and with other streams down our revenue is taking a big hit. Don't forget running the club is still expensive, stadium rent, bills, staff costs add up very quickly.

Sales might be OK in the current climate but some fans talking off a big surplus due to salary cap are I believe going to be quite wide of the mark. We should be fine but I think we are going to see a number of other lg2 clubs really struggle financially as the season goes on

 

If we sell say 9000 season tickets that means there will be 2.5 k to sell every game from each group which means considerably more money coming in

 

If we get 10,000 IMO that would be a great effort when your read that some of our fellow posters who wouldnt have thought twice about renewing are not doing so this coming season which is understandable.
If our season ticket sales do not cover the players cap Stefan will have to make up the difference or not, he knows by now owning a football club involves him financing the club in hard times.

 

Personally think the club would rather have the season ticket money in the bank rather than walk ups on match day. It’s guaranteed even at cheap prices then. You can’t budget for walk ups. And who’s to say fans will be allowed back up the amount you’re quoting?
the club knows they are getting money in for something now which they don’t really know when they can offer the full product.
We should be shouting from the rooftops about this deadline. It’s hardly anywhere at the minute
