Half a season or half a home season or 12 matches, its a long statement full of confusion when it could have been made a lot simpler with a bit more thought

It's actually a full season with at least half the games in person (government guidelines allowing) and the others via Ifollow. As a proposal, it really isn't that difficult to understand.

Anyone who is issued a claret season ticket attends claret games and watches Amber games via I follow and opposite way round for Amber tickets not hard to understand really.

But it's not at least half the games in person, they can not guarantee that.

The elephant in the room with additional lockdown on Bradford puts it two stages behind the rest of the country (except Leciester and Blackburn). If they said football stadia will be open in October, then 2/3 home games will be gone, then factor in a delay in Bradford as it has with gyms, casinos, play areas, and that could be Novemeber. Suddenly instead of 23 home games, there are only 18. If people believe it will get worse in November playing devils advocate and half the season might be gone before anyone has been let in.

But you will still have the opportunity to watch it on iFollow.

Yes, which makes one season ticket worth while, if you were thinking of a family of 4 the decision starts to be a bit harder as you could in theory as a family watch with just one pass.

I'm fully aware of that - it's why I said government guidelines allowing. The club are not making any guarentees and nobody should be expecting them to because a lot of it is out of their hands. What they have done is put forward a proposal that will hopefully allow everyone to get to as many games as is fair and possible, with the other games being accessed at home. I honestly don't see the issue with it and it looks a bit like nitpicking for nitpickings sake.

I have decided to wait for the full details to be provided before making a decision. I accept the proposal for what it is at the moment. A proposal that is making the best of a bad situation and I fully support the announcement to make the fans aware that something to provide a solution is being made behind the scenes.

Well that is up to what you require like you said a family of four would only require 1 season ticket to watch on iFollow but then only 1 of the 4 could actually attend a game so I'd suggest if you need 4 buy 4 unless the other 3 aren't intrested in going to the ground.

Presumably there will be an option with I follow to buy another package and watch all the away games as well

Course there should be if away fans not allowed, but someone or something(red tape) will probably kibosh this sensible move/idea.....

There are still lots of things that are unclear at present, which the club could have given information on:
    • Will I be able to watch all the games on i-follow if I buy a Season Ticket, but become unwell?
    • If I live abroad, yet have a Season Ticket and a separate i-Follow package, will that now be covered in the new pass (the club does well as they can only usually get to 3 or 4 games a season)?
    • Will I be able to get an away i-Follow package?
    • Can I at least choose which Stand I sit in?
    • Will we be able to sit in proximity with friends/family who we go to games with, yet they purchase separately?
    • How is access to the toilets going to be managed? At half time there are usually a significant queues.
    • Will the toilets be upgraded i.e. hot water, hand dryers that work (rather than just make noise), paper towels, sanitizer?
    • Will food and drink be on sale (not bothered personally, but surely they can answer that now)?
    • Will you be able to buy two Season Tickets, one Claret, one Amber (if available as the whole 14,000 ish have not been sold), so that you could see all the games.
    • Some families with young children etc, are already in a ‘bubble’, will they be allowed to sit next to each other?
    • How is queuing at turnstiles going to be managed? Are more turnstiles going to be open?
    • At the end of the game will it be a mass uncoordinated exodus? How do the club think it will work?
Anyone want to add to this list of questions, so that the club can add them to their Q&A?

It’s crap wording that makes it confusing.....I mean look at this....

‘Should these plans come into effect, supporters would have the option to renew 'City For All' season tickets in the seat they occupied during the 2019/20 campaign.

The club would be unable to guarantee any supporter any seat inside the Utilita Energy Stadium, due to social-distancing restrictions, and so would then allocate each supporter a seat from the point of purchase. ‘

Basically you renew for your existing season ticket seat as a claret or amber option and will be then allocated a seat at random for the 2020 season due to social distancing rules. It’s just really poorly worded and punctuated, and you end up having to re read parts of it to make sense. Point of purchase - you mean on receiving the season ticket application. On the last statement above they say unable to guarantee a seat and then in the same sentence say allocate a seat. That’s after saying you renew for your existing seat the paragraph earlier. I get it, but it’s such a naff update.

I guess this is the lower level detail they need to work through. Fair points and you would hope they cover before any revised tickets on sale..

For me, iFollow depends on 3 factors here.

    1) The 3pm blackout needs lifting. Was lifted for the back end of 2019/20 but is in place for 20/21. UEFA and FA have to approve its suspension, which im sure they would.
    2) Sky Sports are rights holders for all EFL fixtures. Therefore they will have a say on how this works. IE the midweek games last season, all on iFollow unless Sky pick it for TV.
    3) The revenue split is 20/80% which clearly would need to change.

People would need to lower their expectations too. A single camera, possibly no comms? Its not Super Sunday isn't it. Unless IMG who provide the feeds can invest pretty significantly, that might be the way it is. And we're less than 4 weeks out from the season now.

Thanks for the explanation on the broadcasting rights. The question to be asked of Sky is whether they are willing to loosen their hold on the TV rights for EFL games for a different revenue sharing arrangement and more importantly perhaps, for the good of the game during these difficult times.

I've said for a long time that a sub-licensing deal should be struck for League 1 and 2, and let Sky have the Championship where the majority of the viewers are. They don't show any of it because it doesn't pull the numbers but the EFL are equally to blame for selling it as one package. At least the Prem are creative about it.
