Why do you think this is such a serious problem? The numbers are tiny but you are completely paranoid about it.
The blatant undermining of our democracy by Cummings and routine handing out of contracts for essential public services, without tender, to multinational Tory donor companies, is a much bigger threat to our way of life, if you could but see it.
Local Authorities are now having to set up their own Track and Trace services because the charlatans handed the job on a plate by their nepotistic government friends are so useless at it. They'd rather hand lucrative contracts to their friends than use the proven experts. Many thousands of British people have died unnecessarily because they put ideology before their primary duty - to protect the population. It's arguably treasonous. It's undoubtedly scandalous.

So cases continue to rise as more people get tested, who'd have thought that would be the case eh?

Interestingly Auckland have gone back into lockdown after finding 4 new cases.

I wonder whether the people who advocate that we follow their lead believe this is a proportional response or a good long term strategy?

From the most recent widespread Antibody testing the levels across the UK are 6%, so not very high. But there is a wide spread from around 12% in London down to 3% in South West.

only a small sample though of 100,000 people, but still largest so far in UK.

6 Hull FC players have tested positive for Corona Virus, from last weekends fixture with Salford. Their games have been postponed for this weekend and many players are isolating.

The issues seen in Super League are probably the kind of issues we could see in the lower leagues where training facilties and changing facilities are no where like they are in the Premier League/Championship which have had a successful return to action. Problems in the Scottish League have already appeared with half the Aberdeen squad decending on the piss together and a Celtic player thinking it's ok to fly to and from Spain.

Meanwhile Oldham has seen their positive test rates peak above 100 per 100k, which is the level which led to a full scale lockdown in Leicester. Blackburn to Burnley are also showing increases, where as Bradford is not dropping off, but it is only half of the rate that is seen in Oldham.

I can't see the lockdown being reduced in Bradford this week, more testing does mean more positive cases, but you have to have it to test positive. There are calls for people to highlight the negative tests, 55 of 100k would mean that 99945 per 100k don't have the virus, not sure where that gets us but there you go.

The entire district being locked down if for another week it is shown to be a central Bradford issue will really start to cause resentment when you are talking about not being able to see your family if you live in say Eldwick where cases are 0-2 because central Bradford are showing high rates in all the single BD postcode areas.

Try switching to the dark theme and then imagine the text in block and bold!

I normally use the dark theme but have switched to the light theme to see whether there is a compromise option easily visible on both themes.

Is it right that the gym near the Odeon in Thornbury is open because technically it falls under Leeds council control?

I ask as Thornbury is showing 26 cases this week. That fella in the T&A from Low Moor and the Shipley gym again show 0-2 cases and are forced to stay shut.

Has there been / should there have been, a review of the local lockdown today?
Presumably it’ll be leaked onto Twitter at 11.17pm tonight by Handjob.

What was the rate to force us into lockdown?
It's 57 per 100k, however that is massively deceiving, as the size of the district is so big that some areas are far above 57 per 100k where as others are far below.
It will be interesting if the whole district is treated the same.

I can't verify it, but I have seen that according to the postcode map out of all positive cases in Bradford this week, 85% are from the single figure postcodes, with the rest being from BD10 upwards.

Irrelevant to our council. It’ll cause more issues than they’re prepared to deal with to ‘localise’ local lockdown.

I guess expecting people to understand if they have a single digit post code is too much for many to understand.
