Transfer Rumours

It's very entitled but at this point I just want another signing or solid rumour to come around for the thrill of it, it's definitely been the quietest and least exciting off season I can remember.

(granted, the whole pandemic is very much responsible - we can't even play 'guess the trialist' this year)

 

A decent right back and a left winger and I think we will have every chance

 

Bolton are making some funny signings for me. A few proven players, but some really big unknown quantities with little experience. Will be interesting to see how they get on. They don’t look as strong as say, Swindon did last year, which Doyle may find a shock.

Forgive us but the last couple of seasons have been enough to sap the positivity out of just about anybody.

 

For me a good RB will be key, highlighted by Mellor and Henley last who everytime they got on the ball our attacks seemed to break down and wingers had fun against them going the other way.

Agreed. They are apparently using some kind of moneyball/statistical analysis based system to sign players, it's either the work of a genius or a madman. They could either win the league or crash and burn.

 

I saw that, god knows where he's got that from. We'll be having words.

Anyway get him in, Maddison on the opposite wing, Keiffer Moore and Nahki up front and I reckon we can do 7th. CTID.

Get Spearing to pin the midfield, and I really think it's a possibility.

 

Not for me - there’s a reason why he’s never played more than 27 games a season, and that last happened in 2012/13

 

Seriously, who is scoring the goals to give us every chance? Last season Vaughan got 11 and four other players got four each, three of them, McCarten, Oteh and Akpan have left the club. Novak got two in six appearances do there’s maybe some hope there.

I’d love to be optimistic, but unless there is a new player who can score goals coming in or McCall has a Midas touch we don’t know about and gets Guthrie, Clayton and Clarke doing well, and Cooke and Watt chipping in a dozen or more between them, I fear it’s going to be a long season.
