I am taking over the interview process. I will have a decision for you no later than Monday. I am looking for a youngish manager whose had experience of managing at this level, but not averse to lower league experience. He needs to adopt the the philosophy of the club, so not interested in anyone who doesn’t want to coach under the profile of the club.

1. Energetic with a good working knowledge of this league.
2. Exceptionally good at man management
3 Motivational expertise,
4. Inclusive style of leadership
5. Expertise with younger players,
6. Understands thoroughly what it means to have the honour for playing before City Fans.
7. Willing to take part in joint recruitment and understand Sustainability.

I will take for granted he has all his coaching badges,,

The employment of any new manager is a risk it's not unique to league one, Premier League being a better example, top coaches from around the world can't keep a job for more that 2/3 season and these guys are the best in the world their past careers would suggest.
The candidate with the least experience could turn out to ultimately be the best but I'd suggest it would be a brave owner who would take that risk of not employing a very experience manager/coach in preference to one who is making his way in the game and only had experience at non league level, hence why Edin & Stefan got Grayson in to Valley Parade when Stuart got sacked.

 

Of course it was, the inference in the post was about in a similar position and I can't believe you didn't realise that.

 

1, Without doubt that had a par to play in the owners decision and rightly so.

2, Sorry I can't go along with that, what was it in your opinion and why did it not change our fortunes around before 21 games.

I've posted above that there were situations that Stuart had no control over, injuries to our better players unrest behind the scenes no new players he was promised (did Phil have that situation during his poor run) he had the emergency loan system he could use and did very well at times, you say you had no confidence in Stuart turning it around, I'd suggest you were in the minority certainly the reactions I saw and read on C&B and the T&A plus comments I heard from co-commentators during games about the way he'd been treated.

They didn't turn on Phil Parkinson even after 21 games without a win, so he was wrong as you are.

We were drawing lots of games in Parky’s bad run which followed a promotion. Here is a question how many times did we lose at home last season

 

Just out of curiosity, why do you (and others) rate Heckingbottom so highly? Lee Johnson built Barnsley up but quit on the eve of their Checkatrade win to take up the position with Bristol City. Heckingbottom took over and simply changed nothing, leading the team to a promotion in the process.

But having guided Barnsley up, they struggled all season. He then left them for Leeds and his record was worse than the manager he succeeded. So I’m genuinely interested as to why people think he’s the answer.

Hopkin built his team from scratch and got 2 promotions in the process. But we are happy to dismiss his achievement?

 

How many times the season before ?, anyone can cherry pick facts to suit there argument .

You miss the point Grumpy. Ricc hasn’t suggested it is a good appointment, more that they have managed to target Hurst’s replacement and sign him in days. We are closing in on 4wks and still no sign of McCall ‘s replacement.
