Going to buy one tomorrow. Not had vienetta in years.

 

For tea tonight I made a ham and cheese slice sandwich, drenched it in a beaten egg then fried it until the eggy bread had nicely browned. Delicious. Will probably have the same tomorrow.

 

Might go a custard cream with me brew. Or hob nobs, maybe both at once.

Anyone remember the American diner that used to be on the roundabout at Guiseley near the big Harry Ramsden’s? Used to go there in the 80s, the knickerbocker glory and banana split desserts were amazing.

there used to be a tea room / cafe in grassington can’t recall the name, parents used to take us there for a knickerbocker glory from time to time if we’d been to bolton abbey or somewhere. Never forget that, and the long spoon! Do you still get them? Maybe not suit the traffic light labelling system

What’s that on?

 

Had a similar ham, egg and cheese combo myself the last couple of days for dinner. Get on this:

Use a thick slice of bread and cut out the middle in one piece leaving the crust intact like a picture frame. In a pan fry some chopped peppers, onion and ham (bacon would work well) until cooked. Sit the picture frame crust in the pan with all that inside. Pour in a whisked egg and sprinkle cheese on. Put the bit of bread you cut out earlier back on top of the mixture. Cook for a couple of minutes then flip it over and cook for another couple of minutes. Delicious.

 

Could pop a mars bar in that??
