Anyway this crisis has me doing something I haven’t done for a good thirty years washing my car. No car washes so had to do it myself blxxdy hard work

 

You're never going to get 100% following the rules in this country.

 

If tougher measures do follow, I hope the ire is directed towards the people responsible and not those who've had to take the decision. Its been well publicized that tougher measures shouldn't be needed if everyone does their bit and makes an element of sacrifice, takes an element of pain. Even before the weekend, the message couldn't have been clearer - yes the sun will be shining but the rules don't change. We're at a crucial point in trying to flatten the infection curve. If tougher measures follow, it'll be entirely at the door of the morons who haven't listened.

 

I would be extremely mad with the government if everyone gets punished because of a few idiots and this is why Hancock was wrong to say what he said this morning.

 

I can’t wait to hear what the Queen has to say. I’m on tenterhooks.

 

What’s this conservative and labour no government could have done more financially for people than what this one has the probable reason they have such a positive approval rate of thecpeople
They have followed the advice right the way through of the top medical people in their step by step approach.
And of course the situation is more than serious but is no worse in fact better than most countries
As for scrutiny they put themselves up every day in front of the press even when coming under pressure quite rightly over testing. And things could be a lot worse imagine Corbyn in charge of this. Not worth thinking about

Think if you outlined the faults the government has made in this situation it wouldn't come across that way but you do seem to defend them no matter what.

Yes, the reporter asked a stupid question about sunbathing but Hancock has not accepted failure in any of his answers all week. None of them have to be honest. Hancock on his 100k testing by the end of the month when currently it's around 10k now. It's just not acceptable.

Lack of testing, lack of PPE equipment - at times you just want them to say yes, we are haven't been good enough but you won't get that because it's all about the government saying in power. Boris's letter is designed to get more brownie points.

In a situation like this, one government shouldn't be in control.

However, in a time like this both parties should be stood together and working together. This isn't the X factor.

The financial benefits are clearly not working with record unemployment numbers. Think some people just think about themselves in situations like this.

Could you live off £94 mouth or whatever the unemployed get?

 

The only person who has me pegged as a die hard tory is you Fordy. I've already referenced a number of mistakes. I don't mean this offensively, but I've come to the conclusion that trying to have any sensible debate with you on this matter, is pretty much futile.

 

We have had grandparents visiting at least 2 addresses where I live today and believe it or not 1 of them works for the NHS. People think because they have a key worker status they must be immune this is the mentality of some people. If a full lockdown does happen these will be the ones who shout loudest.

 

The financial package is amazing of course whilst most are protected when something like happens there will be people suffer it’s absolutely unpreventable. But the government in a survey by you gov are more popular than they have been for years so it shows most people are happy with it

 

We don’t know how other governments would have handled the situation but things such as insufficient PPE equipment for NHS staff, tubes rammed full of people etc is not indicative of Boris Johnson following the advice of ‘top medical people’. The buck ultimately stops with him and his actions (or lack of) impacts us all whether you like it or not. It’s too easy to shift the blame somewhere else.

Personally I’ve read all kinds of horror stories from nurses, the self employed and other vulnerable people who think the government can do so much more. It’s easy to make assertions that they “could not have done more financially for the people” when you’re probably not the one who’s feeling the financial repercussions of this awful crisis. I accept that we’re in unprecedented times and in truth, Johnson has done (at least In part) more than I thought we was capable of. Let’s not pretend that all is well though. It’s not.

 

Agree the remain voters backed by remain MPs tried to overturn the referendum result, Boris calls a General Election, the electorate kick Labours arse, game over.
People power !!.

 

They've no competition and it's a one party show. If this goes on longer than 3 weeks, Hancock doesn't get to 100k testing or extra measures come out that effects those that are doing it or things don't improve soon then ratings will go down.

I just don't think one party should be running the show in a situation like this.

 

But there is only one party, the other lot are having to start again from scratch as from today...........................

 

Hasn't Boris said very recently that he'll be working very closely with the leaders of all major parties?

 

But if more parties were involved in the decisions you would be saying they should just leave it to Boris and the gang instead of getting involved.

 

Labour have only just appointed one, Libdims haven't even got one, that just leaves Mrs Krankie...hardly inspiring....

 

Once again the government have not given the police the tools to come down hard on disobedience which is what it is.
Hancock says it's not advisory/a request, then why is it not backed up with serious punishment, these morons who have disregard for anyone but themselves need a deterrent not a pleasant please turn your car and caravan around and go home wow I bet their sh!ting themselves.
