Not as bad as Mellor and Henley. Or Akpan.

 

Usual observations. Donaldson misses open goals. Akpan can’t tackle or last the pace. Henley is defensively weak. But we have cut the gap two points. No one can write us off.

 

Yes when they had a man sent off I thought good it has evened up as we play with 10 whenever Akpan plods on!! Mellor v Henley tough Mellor just edges it, but let’s be honest neither are that good.

Our strikers are crap let’s be honest.

 

Akpan is the worst Midfielder we’ve had in a long time - the man is horrific

 

I thought Novak got through a lot of good work. Missed a goal but who doesn’t.

 

Such a big unit for such little effect.

 

Mellor isn’t great but as son as he came off, everything Plymouth created cane from that side. For their goal Henley allowed their player to run in and get his shot off. O’Donnell will be disappointed not to save it but should have had to make the save in the first place. Novak missed a 1v1 where he should have scored. Donaldson missed a sitter from 6 yards where it was more difficult to miss. Should have had another from a Connolly square, and failed to connect... could have had 5, probably should have had 5, but were clinging on at the end vs 9 men. Shocking performance helped massively by the ref who was a certain homer. Connolly played well, as did Connor wood yet again. Pitch is an embarrassment to a professional league club. Better Sunday league pitches.

The WORST finishing and decision making I have ever seen.

Connor Wood blasts it to the far post...uncontested...against 9 men...with Donaldson right next to him.

Donaldson misses an open goal, AGAIN.

Novak not squaring it at the end...

Should've been 7-0 and it ended 2-1, fantastic.

 

All of Stuart's weaknesses on display for all to see.

Substitions that weaken us. Leaving dog crap like Akpan on. Failure to manage a game when conditions totally in our favour.

Stuart can't change momentum in either an end to end game or when the team huts the skids.

 

Donaldson is dogshit. Lost count of the amount of sitters he’s missed this season. Novak is just as bad. Put Doyle and Vaughan in today’s line up and we score 5 at least.

 

You're right, but there should only be one name being derided today.

Akpan is on a different level.

The worst player we've had in years and years.

 

We should have filled our boots against nine men but were hanging on playing on the break. One of those wins which actually makes you feel LESS optimistic even though we’ve cut the gap to two.

 

Completely wasted under Bowyer. What a missed opportunity.

 

Not for me. Ducked out of headers and his decision making was awful.

Good to see us create so many chances today, but the amount of sitters we missed was embarrasing.

The lads battled well today though and they looked up for it more than Plymouth in the first half especially.

Good performances from Reeves, Connolly and Wood.

I am afraid to say it, but Donaldson looks passed it now. Novak played better today though

All in all, the 3 points puts us back in the mix, just need some points and performances on the road now
