Restaurants and stuff

Have booked this for 12 of us. Be interesting to see how they cater for the younger ones.

I ended up in there a few weeks back, only because so many other bars in the place were closed. I liked it, but.....it had a really incongruous & bright fluorescent light above the cooking area, with mega lumens intruding into ones ambience, was going to mention it to the bloke (who l assumed was the owner) but thought better of it. l thought I'd like to eat there but knew that the light would drive me mental.

 

Can't help you with Kipling's mate but the one round the corner on New Line ( name escapes me atm) is really good. Last time I was in I had the Meat Thalli (spelling?)....it was bloody lovely.

Off to a pop off of this place tonight... Apparently its famous in Florence. It's not cheap - but im not paying haha.

Went on Friday night and it was a good as ever. Service was great too, couple of younger lads serving but the lads that have always been there were there watching over everything. Curry was really good.

 

I don't like the interior so haven't been for a long while, been going to the nearby Bhajis and Beer, more modern with a shorter menu. However, the owners remind me of the guy who ran Yo-Yo's in Shipley, totally unable to respond calmly to what might actually be reasonable criticism, I've listened whilst they been rude to customers more than once. So, I am not going again, this reply to the customer is crazy and I think they need professional help.

That's one way to lose yourself a lot of customers.

Kiplings - the interior is of a certain style - not mine either but it doesn't bother me or interest me in the slightest as the food is always good as is the service. The young lad who served us was great - chatty, bit of a laugh but still professional.

 

I was once had a run in with the bloke who used to run the service at Yo Yo - total prat.

 

If the numbers are such an issue why not take a deposit?
It’s quite nice but from my point of view every time I’ve called in it’s been dead. Maybe that’s why they don’t take deposits
