I was at the ground last night for Bantams Fit Fans, doing circuits on the concourse again. It was dark but you could still make out that the pitch wasn't in a good state. The previous week they had the grow lights on but not last night. We said to each other we thought it unlikely the match would be on tonight.

 

I won't even ask what a (parody account is) game on then .

 

There are lots of them around. Attention seeking individuals who like nothing better than conning ppl into thinking they are the real official city account. Yes for now, @Offcomedun has stated that there is a pitch inspection at 6pm. However the club have decided not to tell us!!

The club aren’t telling people so they aren’t having second thoughts about coming, just in case it’s on. They want people there so are playing cards close to their chest.

From the info I was told directly from an employee of the club is that there’s a 6pm inspection as the match referee was insistent on carrying one out himself upon arrival.

 

The club obviously is confident the pitch is playable, However the referee will make his decision when he arrives around 6pm, He will inspect the pitch and will consult both managers before giving his decision,

Sounds about right. Winding up your customers is usually not a good idea in the long run. I presume it will be the ref’s fault if it is called off!!

 

I've just been to collect my grand daughter from BBEC and the gritters were out on the roads around Wibsey, I know its well above Valley Parade but if it freezes tonight the pavements will be horrendous in the morning.

 

And some say my photography is poor at least I'd have got the pitch in rather than the seats and Kop.
